4 Bedroom Cabin in Spencer

Deer Creek Cabin has everything you need! This 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath ALL log cabin home has a Master Suite with Master bath on the first level along with a half bath. There are (2) more bedrooms, (1) full bath and loft with queen bed located on the 2nd level. Also, for sleeping extra guests, there is a sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress for great comfort. There is also a queen air mattress on premises if needed. The wrap around porch has plenty of rocking chairs and large swing for everyone to enjoy the view! Deer Creek Cabin has a fully stocked kitchen (appliances, pots/pans, etc.), large gas grill, firepit to enjoy roasting s'mores, and seating for outdoor dining.
Be sure to get out and enjoy our beautiful surroundings like our (3) stocked ponds to fish in and our beautiful horses that love to be petted and fed. Our wide open spaces allow you enjoyable walks, play games in the green space and see all of the beautiful wildlife that play in our area. For swimming and cooling off in the hot summer, be sure to go to Falls Creek Falls State Park where they have an Olympic-sized pool with children’s wading pool, bathhouses and a snack bar. Summary: Great location, although a little father from Fall Creek Falls park than expected but still close. We no problem traveling from the house to the park lodge for meetings and activities.

Summary: This cabin worked perfectly for my siblings and my parents weekend trip to a family reunion. The master bedroom on the first floor was perfect for my mom and dad. The only thing it was missing for them would have been some grab bars in the bathroom to assist them with getting in and out of the shower and the toilet. The kitchen was well stocked with every possible dish or cooking utensil Anyone might need. The setting was beautiful. Very close to Falls Creek Falls Park. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Summary: This is a beautiful spacious cabin in Fall Creek Falls. It was plenty of room for our group of 6. The main issue we had was that at least 2 groups of bats have taken up residence in the ledges of the roof. They have either been there awhile or there is a large number evidenced by the huge piles of bat guano on either side of the house. Additionally, it’s very unnerving to lay awake at night and hear nothing but bats constantly screeching outside your bedroom window. I sleep with a sound machine and the bats were louder. I notified the owner/property owner and was basically blown off and told not to leave doors open and chase them off with a broom. I specifically asked if there was anything they would do and was told no since the county does not have animal control. Listen, I understand staying in the county brings you access to things like wildlife encounters but if the wildlife has moved into the VRBO I 100% expect the owner to address it unless you are looking forward to a bat encounter experience. Might be fun around Halloween

Summary: This was enough room for 2 familes with room to spare. The kids really enjoyed being together again and had a great time around the cabin. Everyone had a good time even though we were there for a bittersweet purpose.

Summary: Everything was ready and just as described with the tiny exception of the L-shaped sectional (seen in the photos) which has been replaced with a sleeper sofa, two comfy recliners and a couple of great rocking chairs. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and dishes. The floor plan is well-laid out, optimizing the space so that even with 11 of us, ages 2-82, we were comfortable. I loved the porches, with all the inviting chairs, and watching the horses across the road was cool. TN is currently under a burn-ban so instead of burning wood in the fire-pit, we brought our own propane pit and my mom was able to try her first ever S'more. We loved the proximity to Fall Creek Falls and would certainly choose to stay here again the next time we have the opportunity. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with us!

Summary: This could be a great cabin for family, but several things need to be addressed. Cleaning could greatly be improved, especially on the wrap around porch which had mouse droppings in several places which had been there awhile. With small children this is a health hazard. We had to clean the grill which had not been done & under the grates was some kind of nasty brown liquid! The front porch chairs & swings were wonderful to sit in on mornings, but the back porch cushions were so dirty that we never went back there except to use the grill! Master bath tub had brown stuff coming out of faucet, so we did not use it. Since there are no close restaurants in the area, which we knew, we planned on cooking our meals. Owner really needs to invest in some new pots & pans. All the skillets were Teflon & badly scratched & should be thrown away for health reasons. Same with the lobster pot. Another extra large pot would be helpful for making meals such as spaghetti. We made do by making the sauce first & keeping it warm in the crockpot while cooking the pasta. The smaller bedroom upstairs has no AC that we could tell & got warm at night even with a large fan. Some positives. The beds were actually pretty comfortable. Plenty of towels which were very nice & big. Fire pit was nice to have in the evenings. The maintenance man was prompt in coming to fix the hot water heater. Several in our group enjoyed riding their bikes around. The cabin is about 10 minutes to the Falls, which was nice.
