4 Bedroom House in Cedarville

A stunning 3100 Sq Ft custom log home with a dazzling ocean-like view of Lake Huron. You are just steps from the rocky shores surrounded by a towering evergreen forest.
Huge well-equipped kitchen and dining table seats 12, so great for cooking for large groups. The spacious living area, with its high ceilings and wall of windows for a panoramic lake view, is a captivating space for your gathering. Screened porch to enjoy your coffee and watch and hear the waves roll in.
Enjoy 400 ft. of private lakefront. Walk half a mile down the private gravel road surrounded by deep woods. Stargaze far from city lights, astronomy binoculars provided.
Bedroom 1 is ground floor large bedroom with lake view, queen bed, ensuite full bathroom, and porch. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are huge upstairs bedrooms with lake view, skylights, queen bed, second bed, couch, small table and chair, and private balcony. Bedroom 4 is small upstairs bedroom with two twin beds, low ceilings, and the only bedroom dark in the morning (no lake view so limited sunlight).
Fast Wi-Fi! Tons of workspace. Well suited to any type of group retreat.
Drive 10 minutes to public sandy beaches. Close to Les Cheneaux Islands, a kayaker's paradise. 45 minutes to Mackinaw Bridge. 20 minutes to Drummond Island ferry. Groceries are 15 minutes away in Cedarville.
ABSOLUTELY NO fires, firearms or fireworks allowed. This is a log home in the woods, fire department is at least 30 minutes out, we just can't take the risk inside or outside the house.
For us, it is a slice of heaven and we love to share it with others. But we want to make sure you will love it too. Here are some things about this house that are not for everyone:
--There are no curtains except in the bathrooms, so light comes in in the mornings and you may feel a lack of privacy (though no one is around).
--Like any house in the woods, you might see bugs or mice.
--Cell coverage will be less than 100%. US Cellular, T-Mobile, and Verizon generally work but AT&T has almost no signal.
--There is little sound privacy between the floors of the house. Bedroom 3 is above bedroom 1 so they can hear each other. Bedroom 2 is above the kitchen so they can hear each other too.
--Although there is a gorgeous fireplace, it is not functional and fires are strictly forbidden (both inside and outside).
Gravel road to access, requires 4 wheel drive in winter.

Summary: Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. I've been coming to this area my whole life, and this was one of the best trips. Emily is a great communicator, the cabin was super clean with great amenities. The location is beautifully located in the middle of the woods, nothing but peaceful views of Lake Huron, surrounding islands, amazing sunsets and sunrises. Would give a 10/5 rating if it were allowed!

Summary: This house is simple but elegant. It's a custom log home with over-sized everything. Huge bedrooms. Huge kitchen. Huge dining table. Huge sunsets. Summary: Five grandkids, age 4 to 12, enjoyed the house as much as the adults. There was plenty of room for them downstairs to be boisterous without being on top of everyone. We appreciated being able to hear them patter about upstairs so that we could monitor by ear. They were kept busy with the doll house, Lincoln Logs and Legos. The soft lighting in the loft was perfect for late night trips to the bathroom. The 2 1/2 baths fit our needs without distress and we had plenty of hot water. The kitchen spared no expense in providing quality tools for all cooking needs. The layout allowed food prep and conversing with those at the dining table while still viewing the fabulous lake. The counter space was exceptional and the plentiful cupboards allowed for quick cleanup. A glance at cupboards revealed a Ninja, slow cooker, blender, mixer and more. From morning coffee on the screened porch to deck chairs at sunset—the lake was everywhere! The kids could explore the shore and were in view 100% of the time. Kayaks can be launched from the beach--but probably best if carried by older teen or adult due the rocks. The rocks! Grandkids loved the rocks! They enjoyed picking a favorite rock and to leave on the boulder along the lane (don't worry, you can't miss it on your way in). This location demands relaxation as the cabin is the destination. If you are looking for a calming place to "just be" with loved ones----this is it!

Summary: Our family vacation to Cedarviille, Michigan was amazing. The house is beautiful and set on the picturesque shore of Lake Huron. Everyone enjoyed walking on the rocks, canoeing, watching the loons, deer and hummingbirds. This home has large bedrooms, is very clean, and has a great space for the entire family to spend time around the dining room table. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the household items you need. Our family loved sitting on the screened-in porch making treasured memories. We will definitely be coming back.
