Summary: We had a family wedding in Thornton so we rented this house for us and our extended family. It was a convenient place to stay. The house is an older home with character. We appreciated that the house was clean and well appointed. Plenty of room to gather in the dining area and front room. The TV room was cozy for movie time and the everyone enjoyed the back yard patio and hot tub. The house could use more cookware in the kitchen. The pan selection was very limited.

Summary: Barbara 12-31 my family and I stayed at a beautiful home in Glenwood Illinois. The house was clean and very comfortable the kitchen had all of cooking supplies and the bathroom and laundry room has soap and detergent the house four large bedrooms very comfortable, and a big basement with a large TV and bar very nice. We enjoyed the hot tub even though it was a little chilly outside. We still was able to get in. I really truly love that home. Want to go back in the summer so I can get into the large swimming pool and hot tub will bring my family back for outing when it’s warm to barbecue and swim and relax beautiful home gorgeous will rent again soon To the host Jimmie thank for a beautiful stay

Summary: This place was perfect for my return to Chicago. I was able to honor my grandmother's 90th birthday with her pastor, family, and friends with plenty of space. Also this was a safe neighborhood and the pictures were on point with the home. My grandmother's pastor was able to to play the piano to honor her-it sounded great! Beautiful home and service.

Summary: I had a conference event in Chicago and needed a place to house myself and my team. This house was cozy, welcoming, spacious, and accommodated all of our needs. It’s in a beautiful neighborhood of Glenwood, IL with plenty of restaurants close by. We loved it!!

Summary: The property was very clean and was the right size for me and my family. My husband checked in a day before me and his comment to me after he checked in was this place is very clean. Jimmie was great and replied me immediately I contacted him. He was quick to providing our request if we wanted extra soaps or toilet papers. He even came by the rental to show us where the clean towels were stored in the house. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vacation rental in the Chicago area.

Summary: Let me first say, thank you. Our contact Jimmie and his wife were very cordial and responsive to my text messages and requests. Our comments here should not be a reflection of them personally. The reason we picked this house is that it would accommodate a large party. The rooms were spacious and clean to fit us. The location was great. In a nice suburban neighborhood. Unfortunately, you will need to bring everything from home with you, or you will be shopping at the local Walmart. The first full day after checking in the night before, we did ask for additional kitchen towels, paper towels and garbage bags and they were brought that day. However, I feel the ad for this house is a little misleading. The kitchen was not fully equipped. It had the dishware/flatware but only 1 pot and 1 pan. Not enough to cook a meal. And only 1 mixing/serving bowl. You also need to bring your own coffee, filters, cream and sugar and condiments, etc. If your idea to stay here was to save money by not eating out, you may be disappointed. The complimentary toiletries consist of a bottle of hand soap in each bathroom and one bottle of dish soap. There were no cleaning supplies. No, Lysol wipes or any similar spray cleaner. The towels/linens consist of 1 per person. If you need to launder them during your stay, you will need to bring your own laundry soap. We did pay the extra fee for the heated pool. The pool was clean and clear. Not sure what the temperature should have been but it was still a tad chilly. There were plenty of seating outdoors. The pictures are old as the landscaping was a bit overgrown. One final comment, when booking through VRBO, once you get the quote, make sure you get screen shots of every screen before paying. I thought my quote included the additional pool fee as I paid an additional amount more than the rate this property is currently listed at. When I questioned them, they said I didn't pay and to provide them screenshots of the quote to prove it, which I didn't have. But you can bet I will in the future.

Summary: Our family of 4 had a great time here. Kids (teens) each had their own room, and there was plenty of space to spread out for quiet time or hang out as a family. We loved the pool and hot tub and hardly left the property for 4 days. Perfect getaway!

Summary: Overall, the house was perfect. Perfect in size, sleeping options and amenities! Even the location was perfect. Less than a 10 minute drive to the shopping stores, grocery stores and restaurants. The pool and hot tub were well kept and cleaned, which was our main reason for booking this property. It definitely was worth it! The owner was very accommodating as well, we were in need of a pump for our pool floaties-he dropped one off. We needed charcoal for the grill-he got us some. I would book this property again 100%!
