The space
Enter the home from the street or from a private rear access. The main entry way features a beautiful 1900's stair case with historic decor displayed on the walls.
Living Room.
The spacious living room offers a relaxing space to recline on the leather couch while enjoying a movie or TV show. The big historic windows gleans the light and greenery from the outside, giving a relaxing atmosphere of nature and history.
Bedrooms
The upstairs Master Room boasts a view of Gettysburg's historic district. Your king size memory foam mattress is sure to give you a welcoming night sleep. The bunk room offers a custom made bunk room and bean bags to deliver comfort and a home-like touch. The bunk room and Queen room both have balcony deck access. You'll enjoy an early morning breathe of fresh air as you walk out onto your deck.
Dining Room
The Dining room offers a custom handmade dining room made of chopping block. The decor on the walls display some authentic historical pieces of General Sickles, Abraham Lincoln and an art display of Lincolns Gettysburg Address.
Outdoor Deck
The dual-level deck offers a private entrance from the area and a private access from the Queen and bunk rooms. Your deck also offers a nice patio seating area with a gas fire pit.
Guest access
All guests will have keyless access to the front and rear door of the house.
Front and Backdoor have keyless door entrances.

Summary: There was a ceiling fan coming out of the ceiling. The heat did not work well. There were air conditioning units hooked up to the windows with sheets to keep the cold air out. Cleaning supplies were left out on the dresser, the beds were old and worn out with extremely hard mattresses. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a peice of flooring coming up from the floor (broken wood flooring).

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at the Getty House . The house was clean and nice . Nice to have parking in the back . We seldom used the car as we were within walking distance of tours , restaurant , shopping ( including a nice grocery ) just down the street . The host were in touch to see how things were going and immediately replied to emails . Would definaltely reccomend a stay there for anyone !

Summary: Very clean. Beautiful property. Perfectly located for quick walks for coffee or eating. I did both. Plenty of rear parking. Two things that lowered my review: Master bed frame is broken. You fall into the center of the bed. The walls are so thin you hear everything outside like it is in the rooms with you. Middle Street sounds like an interstate. It is a main throughway in town, and you hear every vehicle.

Summary: We stayed here over the weekend for a friend’s wedding. Was easy to get to and we enjoyed the fact that everything was close. The host was easy to get in touch with if we needed anything.

Summary: This historical town Echoes throughout the buildings that remain. This home despite its modernity on the inside still Harkens back to the style of the 19th century. The Cozy creaking floors the dark Rich Wood and the classical structure lend themselves to relaxing reminiscing and reflection. So very happy I chose this place to stay.

Summary: Beautiful home in the heart of Gettysburg. Spacious, clean. Updated bathroom (gorgeous) but also kept with the natural beauty of the home. Hosts had everything down to the smallest details outlined within the home with QR codes for house manual. Numbers of restaurants and recommendations were given as well as emergency contacts. The host communicated well through messages on contacting host but the additional number given never responded. However, questions were always answered. If more than 2 cars to your party, will need to find additional parking in a nearby garage. Very happy with host and home. Recommend to all!!

Summary: Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Getty House. The location was great, we were able to walk to most places and were just a short drive from the battlefield. The house was clean, we appreciated having coffee available. Beds were comfortable, there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Would definitely rexlmmenr for families and would definitely stay here again.
