Spacious, modern, western chic farmhouse sleeps 8 nestled on the hills of Salado Creek adjacent to Mill Creek Golf Club. Close proximity to Main Street Salado shops, restaurants, wineries, spa and galleries! Open Concept kitchen and family room are ideal for relaxing and gathering. Upstairs game room has reading nook and gaming area, fun for all! Stocked kitchen for cooking. Downstairs bedroom with en-suite bath, complete with large soaking tub. We welcome girl’s trips, families and couples. Just a short drive to Austin, Georgetown, Fort Hood and Temple.

Try Longbow Roasters for craft coffee, perfect morning pick me up. Rio Salado! This new Mexican restaurant is worth the wait!! Let’s just say the margaritas are made with love! Check out the Farmers market Saturday mornings (9am-1pm) March thru October at Barrow Brewing Company. KD Hill is the owner of Barrow Brewing Company and she always has a welcoming smile. Evenings at Barrow, enjoying the local band and eating Happy Pizza Company is so relaxing! Definitely visit Axis Winery in downtown Salado! Drake is the lovable, playful white lab that greets everyone with a wet nose. We hope you have a great stay at this peaceful property.

Summary: The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The living room furniture could use some improvement- not comfortable. Also the house was missing an iron. The kitchen trash can was small. I felt like the kitchen pans and accessories could use some updating. Also no coffee pot , only a kuerig . We had a great weekend despite the things that I just mentioned.

Summary: Beautiful neutrally decorated home on a hill. Gentle and beautiful deer visited during our stay. Pillows are down, beds have very thick and supersoft toppers. Salado is a quiet town with great restaurants and history. Belton and Georgetown are short drives.

Summary: Open space, clean and enough room for us 6 women probably could have had up to 8. Had plenty of K-cups for us which was a bonus. Nice neighborhood and not too far from downtown but you do need to drive. Plenty of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, bowls if you plan to cook. I was a "really nice" home. Cons: living room furniture is uncomfortable but we made it work. Backyard is not a backyard to sit and relax. It's a big hill and a very tiny porch with two chairs all directly in the sun. Again we made it work and sat out front in the driveway while the weather was good to visit. I give it 5 stars because we got what we wanted, a nice, clean home to sleep in that was in a safe neighborhood. Beds are good. Home owner is very nice as well. So cons are minor. Enjoy!

Summary: Fantastic property. Incredibly clean and well stocked. Loved all the holiday and Christmas decorations that were thoughtfully put out. Loved all the space and upstairs game room with XBox360 games. Perfect for family gatherings. Looking forward to my next visit.

Summary: Had a wonderful experience at our rental in Salado last week! Beautiful, clean house with everything exactly as advertised, and the neighborhood was great. Only thing we would change is to put more comfortable seating in the living room; it was really hard to find a way for our family of four to comfortably relax and watch tv together. Other than that we were extremely happy with our rental.
