Enjoy quiet relaxation at our beautiful lakeside cottage in North Central MA. About 90 minutes from either Boston, MA or Hartford, CT. Sleep 6 in 3 bedrooms on 1 queen bed, 1 double bed, and 2 twin beds. Spread out and enjoy the extra-large living room with working fireplace, spacious kitchen and dining area. Huge wrap-around screened-in porch provides a beautiful view of almost the entire 35 acre Packard Pond while providing insect-free dining/entertaining area with all the fresh air you could possibly want. Large wrap-around outdoor deck provides even more space for grilling, relaxing, and lounging. Cottage shares its own beach with one neighboring couple (the owners). It is 30 feet from this refreshing, deep, clean 'Massachusetts Great Pond' that allows boating, skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, fishing, kayaking, canoes, paddleboats, paddle boards, and of course swimming. We provide a paddleboat, two kayaks, and four adult life jackets. While guests may bring their own kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes if they wish, sorry, but they may not bring powerboats or motorboats. (While some property owners have motorboats, most are pontoon boats that motor quite slowly. There is very little boat traffic on this pond.) Sorry, but outdoor fires are not permitted. Fully stocked kitchen includes all dinnerware, stove, coffee maker, microwave, and gas grill. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher too! We provide linens and towels. Just bring your food, beach towels, and your water toys. Forget something? No worries. Grocery shopping, WalMart, fast food, and other necessities are less than 6 miles away! SORRY, BUT NO PETS, NO SMOKING, AND NO PARTIES! Very near to Tully Lake with its camping, picnic area, hiking, water activities, and disc golfing. There are several public 18 hole golf courses within 20 miles. Cable TV, WiFi, DVD player and games/puzzles galore. Don't miss out on this terrific vacation opportunity!!! PLEASE NOTE - This summer cottage has no heat source other than the fireplace. Sorry, but personal space heaters and air conditioners are NOT permitted. Our cottages are located in a quiet neighborhood. Small groups of visitors are allowed, but large groups or parties are not. Maximum overnight occupancy at this cottage is 6 persons (including all children). On rare occasions, additional overnight guests MAY BE allowed for one or two nights, but ONLY WITH PRIOR APPROVAL BY OWNER , and with an additional fee of $25 per person per night. UPON DEPARTURE TENANT MUST LEAVE COTTAGE AS YOU FOUND IT, AND IN BROOM CLEAN CONDITION. You must be 25 years old or older to rent this cottage. Sorry, but this cottage is not appropriate for children under the age of three.

Summary: My family loved this rental house. The house itself is charming with so many original (1930's era) features. It was amazing marveling at all of the history this place has seen. But it is also perfectly suitable for today (modern appliances and, yes, wifi). And, there are plenty of amenities available--it happened to get very cold, and we found extra blankets in the closet! It is right on the lake, with easy access and many "toys" to play with (kayaks, etc). The hosts are delightful. Easily reachable but hands off, so that you can enjoy your stay and know that if you need something, they are a text away. My kids (teenagers) said that this was the best lake swimming they've been to. A little chilly (it was a cold week in August) but clean and so refreshing! The location is a kind of isolated (Amherst is about 40 minutes away), which is a plus if you're looking for solitude, but a bit of a hassle i you want to do any touristy stuff. However, the local area has hiking trails and waterfalls and all kinds of amazing outdoor activities (disc golf, skydiving (!)), within a few minutes. A wonderful vacation spot!

Summary: You can hear the sound of a pin drop on the pond. The house is well kept, comfortable and stocked with everything you need. Ray and Due are lovely people and make excellent neighbors :) The screened in porch is EVERYTHING!

Summary: We loved the water and the swimming and boating right off shore. We were hoping for a little more of a private spot, but it’s a small lake with people recreating. Overall we had a good time! It was great to have laundry on site!

Summary: We had a wonderful and restful vacation which was just what we were looking forward to having. The property is beautifully rustic and very well equipped. The lake is so picturesque and quiet. A perfect setting for relaxing and reading! The hosts could not have been any better. Looking forward to visiting again.

Summary: House is set up perfectly. It has a nice uncovered deck with grill. When it rained it had a very large screened in porch. Both had a great view of the lake. It had everything you needed to cook and eat with, even had an immersion blender. Beds were comfortable and slept 6 of us. Ray was easy to communicate with. I had 1 request ,which he allowed. It really made our visit. If you want to rent a lakefront house for a fun time, this is it

Summary: The beach and dock were perfect for our grandchildren. There were plenty of comfy chairs for everyone. The variety of beds accommodated us well and it was especially helpful to have a washer and dryer. The one bathroom is small. The kitchen is amazing - large, enough chairs and exceptionally well appointed with cooking utensils and dishes. We would highly recommend this for a family. The owners were very welcoming and took the time to explain everything very thoroughly.

Summary: Ray and Sue not only keep a beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean cottage equipped with everything you could possibly need for a lakeside getaway, they also came to our rescue when disaster struck during our stay. Our car broke down on the side of the road, and they not only picked us up but helped us get to the grocery store so we could have food for the weekend. They are truly generous, kind hosts who went out of their way to help us and ensure that our stay was as smooth as possible. Despite the car trouble, we had the loveliest of weekends in the cottage, spending mornings kayaking on the lake and afternoons exploring local breweries or hiking the nearby trail that Ray and Sue pointed out to us. We had a truly unforgettable time here thanks to their generosity and selflessness, and can't wait to come back!

Summary: This was a lovely spot. The area was beautiful and the view of the lake from the cottage was superb. It was extremely well equipped. Downside: We happened to hit a very cold few days and we were unable to use the fireplace as it smoked throughout the cottage.
