Country kitchen includes all essential appliances, cutlery, housewares, and dry goods to start your day and keep things going until its time to rest. Main floor bathroom includes shower, toilet, and sink. Fully-equipped laundry, with commercial grade washer and dryer includes fully stocked laundry supplies also on the main floor. Main floor bedroom with double size bed, chest of drawers opens on to the levering room with comfy couch, chair, propane fireplace, and 55 inch smart tv. Bright, comfortable, enclosed and heated front balcony, ideal for quiet reading or a chat. Large downstairs living room with victorian style propane fireplace, and adjacent (no door between) combined dining/cooking kitchen.

Summary: We loved our experience with our hosts such good communication and welcoming from the day of booking onwards. We loved this home, lots of windows with beautiful views and natural light. A quiet area with lots to explore both directions. Argyle, Tusket, Barrington, Pubnico and Woods Harbour itself. We only explored a few sites but there are many more. We took in Argyle… the Old court house and oldest gaol in NS. The regions archives/records are on site in a restored old church beside the courthouse. Fantastic with helpful friendly staff…a gem to explore especially for genealogy lovers. Thursdays the farmers market is right there as well. Tusket Brew Pub for great food and a few other restaurants nearby worth stopping in. Woods Harbour has a few small museums rich with history. The beach at Sandy Hills Prov Park (nearby Barrington) …sparkling warm shallow water you can walk far out to enjoy this beach and big picnic area. Saint Pierre Roche point lookout. Plan to spend a few hours at the Acadian Historical Village…the most amazing interpretative staff…Acadians telling their own story with such passion so great. Much history and culture of the area to take in…lookouts and views around the village are stunning. Really a great spot for all ages. Yarmouth has all the big stores for travellers needs and Barrington has groceries, shops and unforgettable Capt Kat’s Lobster Shack for the best service and food…glad we returned. Haddock Shack…food truck right up the road from the house…excellent take away option to enjoy. The house is spacious and comfortable we enjoyed a quiet fire out back in the evening. A brand new playground about 200 feet from the house right beside Woods Harbour Post Office…made our son a happy guy…he just took his scooter up the sidewalk and turned up the road to it. Lisa from Anthony’s convenience store gave us that tip. 🙏💗😊 A good book or a cuppa coffee at the front windows looking out to the beautiful sunsets and the water was my favourite spot. The nearby walking/biking trails my husband loved. Thanks Glen and Darla so much…Lower Woods Harbour has a piece of our hearts. We look forward to a return visit…🙏✨😊⚓️⚜️✨ The Brown’s

Summary: Spent a few days at the Breakwater House with my sisters. Everyone enjoyed being able to chat, laugh, socialize together or in smaller groups in the various sitting areas located throughout the house. We enjoyed morning coffee and lovely meals that we prepared "at home". There was plenty of sleeping options for the six of us with three bedrooms and three comfortable sofas. The two bathrooms, one up and one down were appreciated by everyone. This was a return visit for some of us and we would consider a future visit too. Thanks to Darla and Glen for making our visit trouble free.
