Enjoy our spacious 4,000 square foot home, situated on 2.5 secluded acres, and 5 minutes from Acadia National Park.
Our home boasts wonderful natural light and outdoor views throughout its 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, family room, great room, dining room (seats 8), large kitchen and office/rec room. Expansive deck and large, private yard offer lots of outdoor opportunities.
The space
- Fully equipped, eat-in kitchen with expansive center island: pots & pans, dishes & silverware, cooking utensils and cleaning supplies provided.
-Dining room offers a separate eating space and adjoins kitchen (highchair provided).
- 4 bedrooms: first floor master with king bed, en suite bathroom and recently upgraded new tile and carpet flooring; second floor: bedroom 1 has 2 twin beds, bedroom 2 has 1 queen bed (both bedrooms share a spacious full bath; bedroom 3 has 1 queen and 1 twin and en suite bathroom. Pack n Play provided.
- Separate living spaces (family, room, great room and office/rec room) allow multiple families or larger groups to spend time relaxing, having fun or working all under the same roof.
- Large private outdoor deck and yard provide space to relax, eat (table for 8), play, and enjoy an evening by the fireside. Grill with utensils and charcoal provided.
- Great for remote working! High Speed Spectrum Internet with 900mpbs speeds and dedicated desks in 2 different locations.
- Enjoy a stroll along the beautifully wooded and quiet neighborhood and drive just 5 minutes to Acadia National Park trails, lakes and 9 minutes to the town of Southwest Harbor.
- Pet friendly home provides covers for couches, dog beds and bowls. Pets are welcome with a $150 non-refundable deposit per pet.
- Heat and AC: The house has radiant heating throughout. There are 2 wall units for AC - one in the family room and one in the great room. Fans provided in each bedroom for the warmer months.
Enter through the front door into the main house foyer. On the first level you’ll find a cozy family/sitting room with large windows overlooking the front yard. The hallway leads to a full laundry room and a large, fully equipped, eat-in kitchen with an expansive center island. From there you can peek into the dining room which comfortably seats 8 and opens onto the deck. You’ll find a half bathroom tucked between the foyer and dining room. On the second floor you’ll find two full bathrooms and three bedrooms. Bedrooms are large, and complete with closets and shelves for storage. The main house offers lots of room for families and opportunities to gather and relax.
Adjoining the main house you’ll find the great room. Relax on the two sofas and appreciate the continuous views of the woods and small quarries in the backyard. From this space you have access to both floors of the main house as well as the private master suite.
The master suite, adjoining the great room and opposite the main house, offers space away from the rest of the house and is perfect if you are enjoying the house as a couple or would like space separate from the main house. The bedroom has a king bed, two walk in closets and floor to ceiling shelves. The en-suite bathroom has a separate shower and full tub. The second floor offers an open space with large windows facing the beautiful yard and is great for remote working.
The spacious home is connected by an end to end deck. Enjoy the shade of the morning, the sun of the afternoon or stargazing in the evenings. Beyond the deck and yard you’ll find a small clearing made for a picnic.

Summary: We (group of 5 adults and a dog) had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean and nice with tons of space. Beautiful and walkable neighborhood which was perfect for our pup! It was centrally located so everything we wanted to do was only a short drive away. Will definitely stay again next time we’re in the Acadia area!

Summary: Our family of 8 was super comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out. The hosts have a well stocked kitchen which was much appreciated since we ate most of our meals at the house. The house is centrally located to all things Acadia and Bar Harbor. We would definitely stay at this house again. Thank you for a memorable vacation!

Summary: This home is beautiful, spacious and ideally located in a quiet wooded neighborhood. There are stunning places to walk and enjoy nature. There is an amazing small private pond with huge granite walls and banks across the street that the owner graciously allows others to wander and enjoy. The home has modern, open spaces to enjoy together as well as separate areas to work or enjoy quiet time. The home is clean, well stocked and the beds are comfortable and adorned with plush comfy bedding for a great nights rest. The hosts are always available to answer any question that might arise. The property is an easy 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbour (quaint and full of great restaurants and shops- best icecream around is The Salt Shop!) and a stones throw to many hikes and bodies of water for your enjoyment! We are Super Hosts on 2 platforms with over 260 (5 star) reviews. We know what it takes to be an exceptional host and Jen & Christian certaily hit the mark! Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

Summary: There's nothing not to love about this house. In fact, we loved it so much last summer that we came back again this year. With a huge living room, separate den, and large deck, there's plenty of space for a big family to sprawl. The location is one of the biggest benefits - quiet and secluded, but only a couple of minutes away from a grocery store, mini golf, Southwest Harbor, and lots of Acadia trails. Christian and Jen are excellent hosts - very responsive, and keep the house immaculate and well supplied. We're looking forward to many future visits to enjoy the campfire, cooking lobster in the spacious kitchen, and watching the wildlife in the backyard.

Summary: Beautiful home with so much space and comfort. The house was perfectly kept and organized, every detail covered. Everything worked just right for our family to enjoy our time there as we explored and hiked Acadia. Our golden retriever also gave a high rating and wasn’t so keen on leaving that back yard.

Summary: We rent every summer on MDI, and have been searching for the perfect fit for our family to return to year after year. (I'd sort of like to keep this excellent house a secret just for us, but it deserves to be enjoyed by others). Christian and Jen were extremely responsive, and the house was exactly as advertised. The best part for larger families is 2 separate TV areas with ample seating - hard to find in rentals - and a well-laid-out kitchen. The HUGE deck is awesome, too. We can't wait to return next year!
