Spindrift is spectacular! Built in 2016 to exacting standards, it's thoughtfully designed and carefully furnished. Accessed by steps or funicular, (which is great for hauling luggage!) Spindrift is elevated enough to command 180° sea views, set back enough to be peaceful and yet close enough to walk to the harbour, the beaches, the pavement cafés and restaurants for which Kalk Bay is famous. Wine farms, golf courses and big-ticket sites - Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch and Robben Island - are easy to access.
Spindrift is an elegant apartment consisting of a large sitting room with an adjoining small but very well-equipped kitchen, a luxurious bedroom with
double-lined curtains, and a bathroom with a large shower. There is a desk to set up your computer and because the electricity is solar and grid-powered, the apartment is unaffected by any local outages. We have Netflix and free, high-speed fibre-delivered wi-fi.

Summary: The property is ideally situated in central Kalk Bay with easy access to all the areas around the Cape.Very quiet and extremely private ,which allowed us to completely relax and unwind.

Summary: Louise’s property was fabulous just what we needed. It is in a great location with an amazing view ideal for sitting out for breakfast or a drink later. It was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Louise was an ideal host and answered all our questions very quickly. We would absolutely recommend Spindrift for a stay. We visited Cape Point, Boulders Bay and more and had some lovely meals in Kalk Bay. The tidal pool was lovely for. A swim as well

Summary: Weather changed each day to give different visions of the ocean. We saw whales, surfers, big and little ships, kayaks, sailboats and the lighthouse from our patio. The rental was like a little HOME, decorated in a beautiful way, with everything you would need. We thoroughly enjoyed oyr 2 weeks here.

Summary: It was a great property for a couple. The view from the deck was beautiful. The location is full of boutique and antique shops. Be aware that there are over 30 stairs. There's a lift but we never got to use it. The owner Louise was away when we arrived and her housekeeper could not answer some of our questions.

Summary: Spindrift is like nothing else anywhere, but we will start with Cape Town. First the location. Kalk Bay is so different. We lived in CT for years but never understood the magic of this enclave. Bakeries, restaurant’s, fish off the boats, cyclists sipping coffee in the morning at Salt. There is so much here. The Olympia Cafe is a standout with fish cooked better than anywhere on earth. Ohana’s breakfast spot is incomparable. Look, Cape Town is it, Kalk Bay is beyond it. Spindift is an incomparable paradise within this community. A place of unequaled views, peace and tranquillity. Solar powered, no load shedding, and hosts in Louise and Guy Parr who are just the super people you would hope to host you in the best of worlds. Frances and I had the most incredible time here There is truly nothing to beat this magnificent spot

Summary: I just loved sitting in the sun on the patio in the morning looking over the sea reading a book in between trying to spot whale spouts or Dolphins rise out of the water. My wife enjoyed the shade. The property was ideal for two and beautifully decorated and although very close to lovely restaurants, we enjoyed cooking in on occasions as we stayed for one month. Louise, Guy and Angelique were great and if anything was needed or we required help, it was no problem. We do plan to return to this ideal accomodation in the future.

Summary: The pictures do not even describe how beautiful this setting is - the porch overlooks False Bay with beautiful morning sunshine and sunrise. I was greeted by the host and her assistant and felt very comfortable as a woman traveling alone with the security in place. Great shops and restaurants within walking distance - I also walked 30 minutes each way to Muizenberg Beach for groceries and it was safe and scenic. Comfortable bed; well-equipped kitchen; TV and many channels; books; and even a towel-warmer in the bathroom. Had a relaxing stay and was quite rejuvenated. Thank you!
