Summary: This flat, with its original tile floors, 2 small balconies, lovely old wooden doors, high ceilings, and large open main room, has a lovely ambiance. The location was very central for all the on-foot exploration we wanted to do in Barcelona. Our host was most responsive. Check in and checkout were easy.

Summary: Location was great. Apartment was spacious and well equipped. One drawback was the extensive outside street work that was very loud and noisy (6 days a week) for our 2 month stay, and it had a long way to go to being complete. Jack hammering, cutting granite blocks, forklifts, dumpsters being filled, etc. It will be beautiful when it's done. Other things to note: The walk up to second floor was fine, but there was a lot of foot traffic up and down the stairs at all hours of the night that was easily heard from the main bedroom. A takeout restaurant below was open until 2 am every night with a lot of patrons waiting outside for their food and talking and hanging out. The windows in the apartment were quite soundproof but that meant you had to keep them closed all the time to benefit from that. When we needed it, the air conditioning worked extremely well and was a welcome relief to the heat during our last few weeks in June. The apartment itself was really nice and spacious except for the things mentioned by others - no door on main bedroom and the two bathrooms open to each other over the top of the wall. We had a number of friends and family rotate staying with us, and we made it work because we were all very close and got along well. The host was very prompt in responding to any issue and the hookups for music and TV were welcome. Overall, we had a great time. It would have been nice to be aware of, and prepared for, the noise factors before we arrived.

Summary: This property was not a good fit for us. First and foremost, it was incredibly dark--even with all the lights on. There was no view of anything green from the windows, no trees and only a thin sliver of sky. Then there was the lack of privacy. The master bedroom had two entries but no doors, just a thin curtain on a rod. The two bathrooms, located back to back, were separated only by a half wall. When inside, you could hear everything happening in the other one (the back bathroom also had no mirror, just a tiny magnified one for shaving). We had wanted to have friends stay for the weekend but the lack of privacy prohibited this. In the kitchen, the knives were so dysfunctional as to be dangerous. When we were there, in September of 2022, the road outside our window was completely torn out and being worked on each day. We were not told this prior to our arrival, despite having booked two months in advance. Finally, the walk up to the apartment was grim, peeling paint and broken-down stairs.

Summary: My 5 weeks in Barcelona were a delight thanks to Tania and her beautiful apartment! The pictures are a true depiction of the property. It is a perfect mix of beautiful Spanish architecture and modern amenities. The kitchen is a dream with anything you could possibly need. It is not like most rentals with the bare minimum in appliances, glasses, dinnerware, etc. It has EVERYTHING! The coffee maker broke while I was there and Tania had one delivered the next day. The location is perfect within walking distance to everything. You can be to any sights, restaurants, shopping within a few minutes walking. The beaches are a 20 minute walk. Tania was there to greet me and explain how everything in the apartment worked and always answered my texts within a few minutes. She also had wonderful recommendations on restaurants and things to do. I highly recommend this place on your visit to Barcelona! Deb

Summary: My family and I spent a wonderful week in Barcelona and we couldn't have been happier with our stay at this gorgeous, well-situated apartment. It is comfortable, roomy and surprisingly quiet, considering its outstanding location right in the downtown area. You are minutes walk to La Rambla, the big department store, "El Corte Ingles" and the quaint little alleyways of the historic shopping area. Judit met us when we arrived and provided a great deal of information about things to do and see. The apartment is outstanding and provides a warm and well-appointed home base for a a stay in this incredible city. Would come again in a heartbeat!

Summary: The apartment is well appointed with kitchen pot/pans, coffee maker, blender, etc. It also has a washer and dryer which work perfectly. Arrangements with Judit were easy; and when we checked into the apartment David was very helpful about the apartment and where everything was and how the air conditioning worked. He also had a wealth of information for us - where the closeset grocery store was, what sights not to miss, etc. (Judit was out of town). The apartment itself is in a great location. We walked to everything. We loved being in the El Borne neighborhood, very close to many great restaurants, the Rambla and the Barri Gothic area. The beds are comfortable (we didn't use the 2nd bedroom) and having 2 bathrooms saved us time getting ready (the wall between the two bathrooms does not extend all the way up to the ceiling, but it wasn't an issue for us). This is a great apartment with plenty of room. I would recommend to stay here.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in Barcelona at this apartment. Judit did a great intro to us at the apartment. She also helped us arrange an early morning taxi. It is well equipped, yet we never really used the kitchen. We enjoyed the quick access to the metro and walking distance to other areas. The washing machine worked well. We enjoyed the couch and chairs as well as the large tables to plan our days. Per some of the other comments, there are oddities. Partial walls between bathrooms, no A/C in the 2nd bedroom, and small beds in the 2nd room. All-in-all a great experience.

Summary: This is a stylish, well equipped apartment located within easy walking distance to most major sights and shopping. All arrangements through Judit were friendly and professional including help locating police after my wallet was pick-pocketed! We had a couple of issues with the apartment which might be useful for others to know. As others have mentioned it is on a busy road so leaving windows open at night is not an option & the second bedroom has no aircon so got quite hot. The master bedroom has no door and is open to the entry way which means you can hear people coming and going at different times or using the kitchen. The second bedroom has 2 single beds which are probably 'normal' size but were too small for our young adult sons (both around 6'3 so clearly not an issue for everyone) so one slept on the couch which was very comfortable. And finally the layout of the bathrooms doesn't allow for very much privacy. The wall separating the 2 rooms is only a 3/4 wall so while you can't see what's happening in the other bathroom you can certainly hear everything that's going on! Depending on who you're traveling with this may or may not be an issue for you. I don't want to sound negative about the apartment as we really enjoyed our stay in a great space in a wonderful location.

Summary: After a brief 2014 long weekend stay, I brought my family back for a 5 night visit in June 2015. Judit was an incredible host...very helpful again. It is hard to overstate the convenience of the location and the proximity to a key crossing point on the metro line. The kids had a wonderful time enjoying the neighborhood and using this great property to explore a fabulous city. And this time we actually made use of the well-kitted kitchen to enjoy a quieter Saturday night meal at home and breakfasts in the comfort of the apartment. We are already looking forward to our return!

Summary: Four of us stayed here for a week in May. It was very easy communicating with Judith; she was very responsive. She arranged for cabs to pick us up and drop us off at the apartment. She also had many restaurant recommendations. The apartment is on a very busy street but, with the air conditioning on, noise was not an issue. While the lighting in the living room was dim, we did not find it to be so terrible -- and we are used to very bright lights. There are several flights of stairs to climb to the apartment and there is no elevator so this is not suitable for those unable to walk up. Since the shower in the master bathroom did not have a glass partition or curtain, lots of water ended up on the floor; we decided to shower in the second bathroom to prevent this. Also, we ran out to buy shampoo and soap for the bathrooms. However, these negatives did not detract from our overwhelmingly positive experience in the apartment. It is in a terrific location for sightseeing, walking, the Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta, etc. We would definitely stay here again.
