Positive: The place was one of the most charming places I've ever stayed. The attention to detail was exceptional and the host was so very nice, welcoming, and quick to respond to messages.
Negative: Hard to say because we really liked everything, but perhaps the living room lighting could be brighter.
Summary: A lovely place to stay, comfortable and picturesque.

Positive: The place is really exceptional. On the one hand the house and the interior of apartments tell the story of past times, like you're in a film or a book. On the other hand the attention to details to make your stay comfortable is unique - from kitchen appliances till the quality of a bathroom, nothing was missed. Also don't be afraid of visiting in winter, we stayed in January with freezing temperatures outside - no problems with heating or hot water. Last but not least the hospitality and the kindness of the hosts are above expectations. P.S. don't miss the opportunity to read an article about the history of the house and the restoration process in one of the provided magazines.

Positive: This was a birthday trip and Frau Knabe went out of her way to make this a memorable trip, even providing a birthday gift with a personalized message. The apartment was beautifully designed, well equipped and came with comfortable mattresses. The location is superb and the courtyard setting delightful. We highly recommend the Spree Chalet apartments and would come back in a heartbeat if back in the area.
