Positive: The apartment is very spacious, two on suite bedroom, bathrooms are nice and showers good. Beds and sofa bed in living room very comfortable. Aircon is amazing Place has good security

Negative: Price advertised on booking was changed by the host, so it cost double what was initially expected, which is inappropriate, so be careful of this. It was too late to book anywhere else. I contacted booking and they said it was not their responsibility. It was still value for the money, but on principle I did not like this. You also cannot pay in pounds or Jamaican dollars so if British you have to convert to USD and this cost extra. The cleaning costs and tax are expensive on top, around £70 for 5 days stay. The instructions from the host in respect of bank details were difficult to obtain which when going for a funeral caused additional stress The directions given by the host and on Google were impossible, we got completely lost and if it was not for some amazing locals,who went above and beyond to help us and get someone to meet us, we would not have found the place. When we were met by the neighbour, we had been given the wrong code to get in, so if we had found the place on our own, could not have got in! The apartment is off the beaten track, 20 -25 minute walk into Black River Town. More clarity and above board pricing and clearer directions need to be addressed and this would be much higher rating from us.

Positive: Very nice and comfortable APT in a very quiet area in Black River. With a full kitchen, large bedroom, a very good shower and a big comfy sofa !! We received the entrance pincode the day before our arrival, but got the keys from the friendly lady next doors. Also, the payment was done through her, which was not really communicated by the owner. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. We travelled by route taxis to YS Falls, Treasure Beach and Appleton distillery. Black River is THE transport hub in this part of the island. And is a lively place to be for a few days. The croc tour we did with a local man Teddy, just for the 2 of us, same price 25USD PP, but longer tour and very personal. WATCH OUT for crocs in the sea in town as we have seen 2 bigger ones enjoying the sea .... NOT a joke !! Ask the locals.

Negative: Communication with the owner could have been better as the exact address on this site is incomplete. Luckily we asked the route taxi from Luana to help us however, we had to call twice to the owner, to be able to find the place. Also it is at 25min. walking distance from the nearest shop . We did not drive a car in Jamaica, but the very helpful lady next door drove us to the supermarket upon our arrival in the evening. No washing machine for clothes available, so do not rely on it. Payment in cash only or via bank transfer or Zelle ?? Luckily we still carried enough cash USD. Bank tft involves a high fee to us, Europeans.

Positive: This property was amazing and convenient for us. It was right near the town to get everything we needed also very peaceful.

Negative: There weren’t any cons everything was fine beside current being gone for one night due to the rain I would only suggest back up generators just in case this would happen but other than that no complaints the place was beautiful
