Charming country cottage on a working estate in the Scottish countryside. With wooden beams, panelling and a log fire.

Please note, as we are in the countryside, the Cottages do not have mains water supply. Our lovely, private spring water supply is fully filtered, UV-treated and tested, by the local authority, annually.
Barn & Stable Cottages both sleep four in a double and a twin room. One cottage has been recently refurbished but still retains its old country charm, with open fire and wooden beams. The second cottage was converted from Estate barns to a cosy cottage with modern facilities. The location, in the Ochil hills, feels remote but is only 4 miles from nearest town with pubs, restaurants, supermarkets etc..

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stone Cottage! The Wilsons were attentive and could not have been lovelier! The property was gorgeous, with views of hills and valleys. The cottage interior was well appointed, and the Wilsons left delicious treats for us upon arrival. We'd love to return!

Summary: We spent two weeks in this lovely cottage: on our arrival we found several welcome gifts, which made us feel welcome. On top of that, everything was thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen is well equipped and we found everything that we could possibly need for providing a family of four with some delicious meals. Thank you so much for everything!

Summary: The cottage was charming and cozy, but at the same time spacious (particularly the kitchen), and modern in terms of appliances, fixtures, electrical, etc. It was very well equipped with everything we needed at hand. It sits outside of Dunblane on a hillside with great views. The drive in is a little challenging but we got used to it. The cottage served us, a couple in our 70’s, as a base of operations for day trips to Edinburgh (about an hour and 15 minute drive), nearby Stirling, St.Andrews, and even the Highlands and Loch Ness. It was always a welcoming place to return to at the end of the day.

Summary: An excellent property located in Sheriffmuir, remote yet only 2 miles from both Dunblane & Bridge of Allan. Both have good restaurants & shops. The cottage is within 1 hour’s drive of both Edinburgh & Glasgow, while just 5 minutes drive from Stirling.

Summary: What a wonderful place stable cottage is. We were looking for somewhere to relax,chill and catch up and this ticked all the boxes.The accomodation is the nicest i have ever stayed in and is of a really high standard with lots of extras that you dont expect in a holiday let .Bev and Drew were lovely and have thought of everything .They left us a welcome pack that included fresh eggs from the chickens which we really appreciated. Outside there are rabbits,red squirrels ,pheasants and chickens roaming about which was so lovely and the views at night are spectacular. This is one trip i will always remember and definately planning a return visit.

Summary: gorgeous location, just remote enough to feel like we were away from it all with great forest walks on our doorstep but with Dunblane, Stirling etc within driving distance. Great clean and well equipped cottage (lovely to get some fresh eggs from the hens on arrival) with regular visits from pheasants, red squirrels, escapee chickens 😆 and red kites.. really quite a special place to base ourselves from!
