The Lake Almanor Basin is best known as a recreation paradise, lots of fishing, lake, river and stream. Gateway to nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park. Drakesbad and numerous other lakes, It's where the Sierra Nevada range and the Cascade range meet.
Our home is located right near the Hamilton Branch inlet to Lake Almanor. This is at the North end of the East Shore, just down the road from the Country Club golf course on the peninsula, and the golf course at Bailey Creek. We are conveniently located near the intersection of A13 and Highway 147, just within minutes of the towns of Clear Creek and Westwood. Also close by is the main town of Chester with all your grocery and rental and shopping needs. Fly-in vacations are easy at the Rogers Field Airport.
We completed construction on our vacation home in the summer of 2008. It has approximately 1900 sq. ft. of living space, with views of Dyer Mountain from our Great Room.

Summary: We arrived at the house and found it very nicely decorated, clean and ready for us to enjoy our weekend stay. Very nice open kitchen/living room design was very conducive to visiting. If you stay here you won't be disappointed.

Summary: House set up was great, check in was easy, parking was ample for multiple vehicles. Easy run into town. Kitchen and great room area were great for gathering. Beds and baths were ample. Futon on laundry room was useful, if a little tight. House is in a neighborhood and does not have a lake view nor access, though is close enough to Chester for activities.

Summary: We had a rough start, accident with our 6 year old as we were checking in. We were 20 minutes early, property was no where near being ready, we assisted as best we could, helping with outdoor landscape, until our medical emergency. I have stayed at this property before so I knew the house. I am sure this is a one time incident with house not being ready for check in, but surprised at lack of acknowledgement of the situation by owner..

Summary: Fun even though it’s smoky. We really enjoyed our stay and DeDe was awesome to work with. Unfortunately, there were nearby wild fires and the smoke was a problem at times. Still a beautiful property and we would come back

Summary: A bit expensive, but well worth it. The deck was our favorite hangout. Kitchen is fully supplied to prepare a multi course dinner. Beds are comfortable with crisp linens. This is a beautiful home with all the comforts you'll need.

Summary: This house was very clean with nice appointments inside. It is close to three golf courses and some very good restaurants. Wonderful home for a family vacation. We especially like the outdoor deck for relaxing and bar-b-queing.

Summary: The home was great. We rented the house for business purposes due to had a big project in the area that took a week to complete. Regather then staying at the hotel we decided to rent a house any that was the best decision we made.

Summary: We stayed at the house for three nights. Upon entering the home, we were very impressed with the layout, décor, and cleanliness. This was our first VRBO stay and we loved it. The back deck is nice and the charcoal BBQ worked great for our group. It was a hot weekend up at Lake Almanor but you wouldn't know it in the house. We opened it up in the late evening and closed it up in the morning. When we returned after boating all day, the house was still cool and comfortable. Dee Dee was an absolute pleasure to work with and we are very thankful that she is willing to share her home with others.
