Welcome to the Starved Rock Retreat! This 4-bedroom, 2-bath home is located on Ottawa's southside. This home is located 8 miles from Starved Rock, 2 miles from downtown Ottawa, and only 2 blocks from Kroger Grocery. Enjoy your day hiking Starved Rock, then come home and relax with dinner on the back patio. Cap the night off with a family game night around the billiards and ping pong table.
This ranch house is spacious providing and open concept floor plan and no steps in the home. It offers a full-sized kitchen, with everything needed to cook a family dinner. There is a beautifully remodeled master bathroom off of the master King bedroom, as well as a full bathroom shared between the two queen bedrooms and the dual twin bedroom. Each bedroom offers ample storage, and the master bedroom offers a dedicated workspace for traveling workers. In the living room we offer a full-sized pull-out couch with a 58-inch Roku TV and plenty of games for the kids in the kitchen Cupboard. Finally, the entertainment room boasts a full sleeper futon, an additional TV, a full-size pool table and a ping pong table topper. The entertainment room also has a washer and dryer.

Although we are pet friendly, we do require a one time pet fee of $125.
We love sharing our home with all our guests. However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage we will only accept booking requests from:
-- Renters who are above the age of 25.
--Renters who will be staying during the reservation and are not booking for someone else.
--Renters who have less than 5 star reviews.
**Although there are no steps in the home, each shower requires you to step-up into the shower and there are no grab bars installed at this time.

Summary: This was the perfect place for a girls’ trip. We all had our own room for when we needed space. The bedrooms are all large, the kitchen-living room area open, and the game room has a door to close for noise. It was very clean, and very well decorated. It was a five minute drive to downtown Ottawa, and 2 mins to a grocery store. The owners were quick to respond to a few questions we had. It was too cold/rainy to use backyard, but it was a nice size with a table and outdoor couch. We would stay here again!

Summary: Everything I needed for a comfortable stay while visiting and hiking some state parks from cooking every meal, to streaming my favorite shows, to playing pool and a little Pac-Man. I’d stay here again.

Summary: Lots of compliments for this property: Lots of space inside, and for parking. Plenty of towels and kitchen utensils/cookware. Nice game room. Quiet area close to grocery store. The only (small) negative thing I would mention was that we struggled the first night to establish a comfortable temperature in a couple of the rooms. One bedroom didn't appear to have any HVAC vetilation at all, which we alleviated by leaving the door open to that kids room on the 2nd night. And the master bedroom had its own radiant heater, which was slow to respond to settings. We were able to adapt to that by the 2nd night as well. Highly recommend this property.

Summary: This home was perfect for our large work group. Check-in and check-out was easy. The home is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is also located right around the corner from a grocery store which was very nice for us having to pick up food for dinner during our stay. House was nice and clean, and a bonus was having a pool table and an arcade game that had all the best classics on it. Hello Pac Man and Galaga! Hosts were nice and checked in on us and were very responsive when we had questions. 5 star recommendation!

Summary: The house was perfect for the 7 of us. Nice neighborhood and layout with bedrooms for sleeping everyone. We used the game room and played bags in the backyard. We hiked at Starved Rock. If we meet in this area again we will definitely stay here.

Summary: My siblings & I rented this property for a vacation together. There were 7 adults & 3 dogs. Property was as described & depicted in listing. Location is great to reach everything in the area. Owners communicated very quickly to request to rent & any questions about the property. They stayed in contact during our stay to see if we needed anything & advised us of a stop by the garage they would be making. The house has a fun game room that has a pool/ping pong table, arcade Pac Man game & other games which we enjoyed & used frequently during our stay. Pet friendly house with plenty of room. We would recommend to others & are planning on booking again next year.
