At the Hazel Point Beach Cottage You’ll enjoy a wonderful escape to a rustic and remote Hood Canal cottage with expansive views. This home boasts beautiful sunrises and a nice beach. The cottage features an outdoor firepit, charcoal BBQ, and native vegetation. Explore 500’ of private beach! This studio guest home will accommodate up to 6.
Living and Sleeping Area
The living and sleeping areas are combined to occupy one side of the studio. Relax on the leather sofa, enjoy satellite channels, or complete rest in a king-sized bed. A trundle bed and bunk beds are also present for additional guests. Bonus: this whole side of the cottage can be partitioned off from the kitchen and dining area by closing the convenient pocket doors.
Kitchen & Dining Area
The cottage has a country kitchen complete with full-sized fridge, stove/oven, and microwave. The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space and is well-equipped for your stay. Dining area accommodates six and completes this side of the cottage where you can enjoy your fresh shellfish while capturing breathtaking sights and sounds of Hood Canal.
Bath
The cottage has a nice shower, slate flooring, and is tastefully finished. Located within the bathroom is a full washer and dryer.
Location
Pristine Hood Canal is highly sought after for its abundant shellfish and warm clear waters. The trail to the beach can be a work out coming up, but is well worth the walk. The woods open up to 500’ of private beach which graduates to clam and oyster beds. If you stay during low tides, you’ll find many natural wonders on this beach – it’s perfect for beach combing and swimming.
*Note: Owner’s family and cats are on property. Hazel Point Beach Cottage is a detached Additional Dwelling Unit next to owner’s home.

Summary: We loved it! In hindsight I wish we had done less leaving to explore other areas and spent more time relaxing at the rental and enjoying the view.

Summary: Gorgeous morning views! Cozy place. Although we spent most of our time with our daughter and her partner who live nearby, we did enjoy our stay and would definitely come back.

Summary: This place is perfect for an off the grid weekend . It’s super clean, peaceful and close to the water. I also love that is very pet friendly. I think our dog loved it more than we did. Somethings to consider about when renting: The pictures make it seem like it is the only place on the property. The owners do live on property, and the “cottage” is a loft over an adjacent garage. They didn’t interact with us so it did feel like we were alone. If you are an XL person, the bathroom is not meant for you. It’s not really meant for people over 5’6. Water pressure though is AMAZING. There is no wifi so it’s ideal for catching up on reading or playing board games. You could do a destination DnD campaign. They do have spotty cell service and an old TV with a few DVDs. Overall would stay again.

Summary: Loved our stay! We do want to come back some time because our time was cut short but absolutely loved the property, the silence, the water, and the adorable and homey cabin. Got to eat oysters, see bald eagles, and even saw a black bear driving to the property one evening!

Summary: Secluded and quiet which we expected. Nice view of the water. A few things. We didn't realize that there would be no beach for walking or sitting most of the day due to tide. Once we realized that we had to go in the morning for a walk to enjoy the beach it was nice. I wouldn't call it beachfront. The pit for a pit fire worked well. We found lots of kindling and had brought wood. The house was nice. A deck or outside patio would have made it ideal. Kitchen we are is missing a few things. Many pot tops, noe of which fit any of the pans that were there. No pots to cook pasta, or sauces pans.Only fry pans. Air fryer was filthy. Please clean or throw out. I didn't feel like washing it. The owner was great and gave us some fresh garlic and her garlic press to use. Local fresh eggs to buy up the road.Community center is lovely but we never saw anyone there. Nice enough but with all of the fees, a little expensive for its location and amenities. Shower and bed were great. No dishwasher.
