2 Bedroom Cottage in Pleudihen-sur-Rance

Charming eco-gîte renovated in an old barn. Open and bright, large garden, terrace. Close to the village of Pleudihen, the Rance and the Mordreuc beach. Close to Saint Malo, Dinan, Dinard.
Our ecological cottage, Le Chanvril, here at Gîtes de la Touche is in a barn that we have renovated ourselves. It is very bright, modern and comfortable while having old characteristics that we have preserved in order to keep a memory of its original form.
It is a lodging equipped with every comfort: Modern kitchen, washing machine, dryer, TV / Stereo, WIFI, etc.
The renovation was done to the maximum with ecological materials and devices. Thus, we installed a wood pellet stove and also a double flow CMV system.
The beds are good. Pure cotton bed linen and towels are provided.
There is a fully equipped terrace for dining outside or resting on sun loungers. You will be able to benefit from a very raised garden.
A short 800-meter walk in the countryside will take you to a beach overlooking the Rance river. There, you will have a great chance to meet our mascot "the seal" which is established in the village for ten years. There are several hiking trails following the river and / or traversing the Val Hervelin forest.
Bikes available to explore the surroundings.
We are 10 minutes from the charming medieval town of Dinan, 15 minutes from the corsair town of Saint-Malo with its high tides, 25 minutes from the beaches of Dinard.
The unforgettable Mont Saint Michel is only 40 minutes away.
The impressive Fort La Latte and Cap Fréhel are also not to be missed.

Summary: A nicely designed and comfortable barn conversion with good facilities and equipment. Comfortable beds and plenty of space for four. Pleasant outside seating area in an attractive setting. The shower needs some attention to repair the height adjustment and care is needed on the very steep stairs. Internet connection can be slow. Good directions to the gite but some information about recycling, local restaurants etc would have been nice. (The lack may be because our host was unable to be there when we were).

Summary: Perfect location and gite for a very relaxing holiday! Garden is joyful! Easy drive to all locations within 20-30 mins! Lovely village location within walking distance. Where we found a great boulangerie, grocery, shop, Italian restaurant. Wonderful views of River with a restaurant on the quay. Kate, the perfect amazing host.

Summary: We LOVED our 10 day stay in this cottage. We found this absolutely charming cottage to be comfortably and tastefully furnished. Set in a gorgeous, private, expansive garden filled with flowers, trees, and the sounds of birds, it was both a wonderful place in which to wake up and a wonderful place to return each day. We found the location perfect for easy day trips to Dinan, San Malo, villages and sites both along the coast and along the Rance river. We loved being able to walk down to the port for dinner and/or sunsets and also being so close to the village (great boulangerie/patisserie!) Kate was a warm, engaging and helpful host. We cannot imagine being happier any where else and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend this magical spot.

Summary: The owners, who live on site, were welcoming and helpful. Kate, gave us useful information about things we might be interested in. The local harbour, which is very pretty and peaceful, has a resident seal. We had a lovely time, cycling, kayaking and sightseeing.

Summary: Kate is a wonderful host. Very comfortable gite with all the amenities you need. The garden is beautiful which was full of birds and we saw a red squirrel darting across the lawn right in front of us. We also loved the pet goat. The area is perfect for visiting different towns in the region and is good for walking too. Easy walk into the little village Pleudihen-sur-Rance and to the beach where there is a resident seal. Wish we had stayed longer. Highly recommended!
