Just 2 hours south west of the Twin Cities, it gives you peace and tranquility while still providing ample up to date local resources. Lake Hanska is a multi recreational lake from fishing, boating, to swimming. Stretching 9 miles long, you can be assured you will have plenty of space without being crowded. We are a family owned business open all seasons. We offer many different stay options. Summary: We stayed here as a large family group a few years ago in the winter time and decided to come back in the summer. The beach area was very nice. The kids had a blast and the kayaks and paddle board were super nice to be able to use. The house is also beautiful but could definitely use a little help in the cleaning department. The windows are terribly filthy which I remembered from our prior stay after we checked in. The bedroom in the loft is now locked so the listing isn’t entirely accurate for the description of bedrooms. There were several light bulbs that needed to be replaced—in the upstairs bathroom and above the pool table. The air hockey table also doesn’t work. The game room had several mice in it when we watched tv out there at night and also, the kitchen had some mice that were spotted on the counter top during the middle of the night. The outdoor area is super cute, but needed a pressure washer as it was filled with dirt and spiderwebs. Overall the place is super cute, it just needs some TLC and it could be a solid 10.

Summary: The house was clean and spacious. The property was ideal for our large family with room to spread out. Flooding in the area hampered the outdoor experience a little bit we were still able to enjoy the lake! Our host was responsive and polite. Only down side was the game/rec house needs a deep clean and tlc…we didn’t spend much time in there. Overall it was wonderful and would recommend and stay again!

Summary: We have been here several times. Each time I think the next time it will be cleaner. They say they are renovating so I was expecting better. They put in a hot tub but it wasn't clean. Floaties and sand in it. We didn't use. The windows in the house were filthy and rotting out,along with the ceiling fan being cover in dust. . On the porch the leaves weren't even cleaned up and the cushion on the deck were still there from 4 years ago when they needed to be replaced then. This time at least the fire table worked. The grill was filthy, If you open the grill doors it is all rusty and the shelf is rusted off. The paddle boat and kayaks were filthy. A tree right next to the dock was dead and there was a widow maker in it. The branch that was hanging down had like an area that kids would want to sit on. Thank god we didn't take the grandkids along this time. They closed off the bedroom with the king size bed in it. I'm presuming because the deck that was off of it wasn't safe. The location and the amenities are awesome. Just wish it was kept up better.

Summary: Great place for a family so go. Lots of water toys. Don't need a boat catch fish off the dock. Awesome beach. Great for any ages to have a great time. House has great space. Close to grocery store and cute little towns!

Summary: Perfect place for a weekend retreat for a small group of friends. The big table provided a place for all of us to eat together, have our Bible study, or just sit and talk, or play games. The living area provides ample seating for us to watch some movies and play the Initials Game. The beds were comfortable. We slept well! The kitchen provided well, having MANY options for cooking - stove, waffle irons, griddles, and 2 coffee makers (a Kuerig and a Mr. Coffee). A sign said the availability was going to be limited because of renovations. It will be interesting to see what they do with the place!
