Positive: Our stay at this Catholic monastery lodge was one of the most peaceful and pleasant experiences during our travels through Tanzania. We were welcomed with warmth and grace. The nuns and the staff were kind and helpful. Their quiet hospitality radiates through everything they do. The lodge itself is immaculate: every corner is squeaky clean and beautifully maintained. There’s a profound sense of serenity here that words can hardly capture. The room was perfect: spacious, bright, and thoughtfully prepared with comfortable beds and mosquito nets that made for restful sleep. The food was a highlight. Every meal was a masterpiece. The vegetables are from their own garden and are fresh and flavorful. Each dish was not only delicious but presented with the care and beauty of a five-star restaurant, which was an unexpected and delightful touch. They bake their own fresh bread and produce their own eggs and honey. Both the dinner and the breakfast we had there were truly amazing! This monastery lodge is a rare gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
