Negative: Breakfast was at another location a 1/4 of a mile away and served only at 8:30am. This cottage was next door to a Detention Facility. I would not refer anyone I know. The antique furniture was beautiful.

Positive: The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed conversation with other travelers at our table.
Negative: We never could make the shower work. Water came out of the faucet but we could not figure the “ trick” to get it to come out of the shower head. There was no ice in the ice machine. There were difficulties in “ signing in” to access TV channels. The closet looked nasty due to no updates being done.
Summary: The room was lovely! We enjoyedthe breakfast experience at the Duff Green mansion .

Positive: The place for all our needs. Comfy bed, great tub, fridge and microwave. We lived the breakfast and house tour. Great response time from hosts. My husband left his hearing aid charger and they even mailed it back to us quickly!
Negative: We liked everything. We couldn't get ceiling fan to work, but it wasn't a problem.

Positive: The place was comfortable and clean. The pics of property online make it look fancy and it isnt. Good location. With the breakfast and tour of Duff Mansion, I would say it was worth the price.
Negative: I expected the place to have a little flair. Somewhat fancy, old relic feeling. It wasn't.

Positive: It was a historic site with spacious rooms in the historic district. We really liked the four poster bed. The breakfast at the mansion was charming, tasty, and served by wonderful ladies in a spacious historic room.
Negative: There was mold on the vents, the fan and some furniture were very dusty, we found trash and dirt behind the nightstands, and we had an extremely large cockroach come to visit. The pillows were also very hard and we ran out of hot water.
Summary: This historic room was charming and fun to stay at with the exception of a few things that could be easily remedied.

Positive: I only stayed one night on my way back to Texas but the property was easy to find. Parking was on the street right in front of the front door so that made it easy to load/unload luggage. Had no issues getting keys. The room itself was cute and the bed was very comfortable. I attended both the wine welcome and the breakfast at the sister property nearby. The breakfast was amazing and the staff very friendly. I unfortunately did not have time to do the mansion tour after breakfast.
Negative: While not really a problem, the property is old and as such there are lots of creaks as you move around. With the rooms being so close to each other it can be quite noisy with people moving around. Once everyone was asleep though it was quiet. As I had the room with the bathroom across the hall, having to get up in the night to go to the bathroom I did my best to be as quiet as possible.
Summary: Great value for the money, fantastic breakfast included, comfortable and quaint stay
