Cabin has fully fitted kitchen (with kettle, coffee machine, toaster etc) , shower room/WC, under-floor heating. Free use of WiFi, BBQ, rowing boat, fishing gear and bicycles & sledges in winter. DVD player in cabin + movies you can borrow. A car is recommended, although not absolutely necessary. It is a 3 hour drive from Bergen city centre (3,5 hours from Bergen Airport) Public transport from Bergen by coach or ferry.

Summary: A very nice little cabin, basic but has all essentials for a great weekend. Good heating and parking close to cabin. Note: check if ferry is avalible before departure to this amazing location. You can drive all the way but you will save a lot of time taking the ferry.

Summary: We stayed in the log cabins for a week in the middle of February, when the country had experienced a few feet of snow a couple of weeks before. The surroundings were amazing and absolutely beautiful and pristine. We stayed one night in the stone cabin before spending the remainder of the stay in the wooden cabin. The cabins were very cosy, well-maintained & clean. There was a fireplace in the wooden cabin, and there was no shortage of wood provided for the fire. A hot tub was also situated outside by the cabins for use, and it was very enjoyable. Most importantly, our hosts were very warm and welcoming. The level of service was very high, and they did a great job of looking after us, from providing detailed instructions of the different possible ways to get to the location, to guiding us on the road itself, helping us with our car and luggage up the slopes in the snow, and ensuring we had planned sufficient to return back. I would definitely recommend this as a place to go if you want to spend time by yourselves or with your families, and there are some very beautiful walks and trails around to stay active. It is also perfectly suited as a place to disconnect from the rest of the world and just read a book and de-stress. I will definitely return back again.

Summary: The hosts are very friendly and responsive to be sure you have all you need for your stay. Ortnevik is beautiful and not to be missed. There is boating, hiking, fishing, biking,a wonderfully outdoor getaway.

Summary: The Cabin just looks like something you'de imagine from a fairytale (in a positve way obviously).... and the location on the slopes of a hill is absolutely superb looking out over the Sognefjord. The cabin has everything you need and the owners are very nice and polite.

Summary: The atmosphere throughout our entire stay was so perfect. The location of this cabin is tucked away in the country. Beautiful scenery everywhere you look and lovely hosts!

Summary: The stone cabin is located in a small idyllic place. The cabin is located on the edge of the forest and offers a wonderful gigantic view over the Sognefjord. The Check-In was very easy and the cabin was absolutely clean on our arrival. We spent 9 nights there and felt comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, so we could have good self catering. The environment is very quiet - exactly what we were looking for. The area is very quiet and offers beautiful landscapes and nature, especially the Norwegian mountains and waterfalls. Eldar is a good host and always helpful if we had any questions. All people in Ortnevik were very friendly to us. We recommend hiking in Ortnevik. There are many hiking trails and beautiful views. Thanks for this nice place and the nice stone cabin!
