Summary: We had a fabulous week at Villa Semele. The villa is beautiful, clean, spacious, well looked-after, well-equipped and we it was perfect for 5 of us. The information provided by the owner Ares was helpful. Loved the area, quiet, green, beach walking distance. Recommend highly!

Summary: Had the most relaxing stay in this wonderful private villa. Highly recommend if you want peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. A car is essential if you want to visit tavernas in the surrounding area - but there is one in the local village which is about a 30 mins walk. If we had to comment on one small area for improvement it would be the seat pads and sun lounger cushions. We could only find 1 cushion for the lounger and the seat pads could do with updating as faded and a bit tatty but it's so very minor in the bigger scheme of things.

Summary: We had such a relaxing time at Villa Semele, so relaxing that we didn't stray too far from the villa for our entire stay. The views looked amazing online but really do take your breath away, and are a perfect back drop to the wonderful pool which was both large and deep enough to suit two older teens. The villa itself is simple but elegant and has everything you might need, all to a very high standard. It's an easy drive from the airport and although there are plenty of things to do (a car is a must) with only a week's stay we tended to stay poolside and then hit the beach late afternoon. The restaurant fare is quite simple but the village taverna in Nerotrivia was lovely and the staff attentive and friendly. We definitely plan to return and explore the region a little further, and would stay at the villa again in a heartbeat. Truly fabulous!

Summary: It is truly an amazing house and the view is breathtaking, simply can’t get enough of it. Pool and all other facilities were very good. Summary: Superb views. Villa is well equipped and has a great pool. Location is very quiet, but little difficult to find when first arriving. Owner responds very quick to questions asked. We had a great and relaxing time in middle of nature.

Summary: The stone cottage is like a "little castle" in the side of the mountain looking over the Aegean sea. The cottage was well equipped with a full kitchen, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, comfortable bedding, ample towels, and even romantic lanterns. Our favorite part was the patio with the view of the Aegean. Spectacular! The pool was a little too cold for us in late September, but the island of Evia had so much to offer. We enjoyed the views as we drove south to Karystos to explore the ancient ruin of Castello Rosso and north to the healing thermal springs in Edipsos. We enjoyed eating at the local restaurant, Bakoustis. It was a perfect setting to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary! We highly recommend Villa Semele.

Summary: I can't add anything about the villa compared to what was written. It is wonderful, comfortable, built and decorated with a lot of refinement. The chairs on the terrace are a bit uncomfortable, but that doesn't matter much. The location and the view are wonderful, as is the tranquility and isolation. Some practical tips: Tap water is drinkable and very good, I guarantee personally; The nearby beach is not very accessible, given that on the way back the slope is in some places 15 degrees; After mid-September the pool water is cold, around 20-22 degrees Celsius, the nights being quite cold; The road from the road to the villa is a bit stressful with an ordinary car; The village tavern is recommended, good food that can be taken in a package, very friendly staff, reasonable prices; There are recyclable waste containers in the village, with a little effort the waste can be thrown there, even if it seems that there is not much emphasis on this on the island; A sandy beach that we really liked is in Nea Artaki at Restaurant Zefiros (20 minutes by car).
