Beautiful house located in the heart of North Maremma, in the real countryside but not far from the sea, with incredible view on the hills until the Elba island. Recently renovated and decorated with antique furniture, offers an entrance with fireplace, a living room and a “summer living room” in the veranda, a dining room, an office room with fireplace, a very well equipped kitchen, four bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. A big garden with terrace, swimming pool and 13 acres of olive trees and grazing land.
Weekly rates (included additional costs, bed and bath linen and final cleaning) depending on the season and number of tenants. Discount for long stay.
The fifth bedroom, with private bathroom, is located in an outbuilding of 25 sqm.
Next to the pool (11x4,5 meters) there is a small kitchen.

Summary: My wife and I invited my family to celebrate my birthday in this property. It is the perfect location for a get together: 5 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, a beautiful pool, lots of places to sit and talk, eat and drink. The property is is an old farm house in the Tuscan forest, renovated and nicely furnished. The view from the property is absolutely amazing. Two slight limitations are the internet (spotty in most places on the property) and the access road (gravel and rocks, not suited to a sports car but can be navigated fine otherwise).

Summary: This place felt like home from the moment we arrived. It is in a very beautiful and rural place, which we loved, very quiet and relaxing, mainly birdsong. Authentic Italian. You can feel the love with which it has been furnished and decorated. It is so well equipped there was not one thing we were short of. Fantastic swimming pool, spotlessly clean as was the whole house. Great showers, comfy beds, lots of places to sit both inside and out. Fun roads to drive, very little traffic, lots of wildlife. Marissa lives on the farm next door and looks after this place for the owner. She is very friendly and helpful. If I had a house in Italy it would be exactly like this, in fact it would be this one! Would book this place again in a heartbeat! Loved it!!

Summary: We are a family of 4 with two teenage girls (14 and 17) and we really enjoyed our time at this lovely villa. The location is beautiful and remote, on an unmade road, so a low car is not advisable! The pool is probably one of the best we have had in a villa- stunning view and very clean and a good size for swimming. There are a good range of loungers by the pool as well as parasols for keeping out of the 34 degree heat! There is also a fridge and a sink by the pool that were useful - the pool is below the house so its great to have somewhere to keep cold drinks. As others have mentioned, the kitchen is very well equipped, but does get hot as there is no a/c in this room - not a problem for us but may be for others. There are mosquito screens on all doors and windows, and we managed to avoid being bitten! The beds were comfortable and all the bedrooms have AC and en suite bathrooms. Anna is very quick to respond to any questions and provides some good suggestions of what to do in the local area and was very helpful with directions. As one of the previous reviews mentioned, it is about 25 minutes from the nearest supermarket and the road is very windy up to the villa, so make sure you stock up on supplies when at the supermarket in Masa Marittima. We found the Conad supermarket the best. Masa Marittima is a nice place to visit as well, and there are some good restaurants in the main square Marissa lives in the separate rear part of the villa, and is very helpful, and although she only speaks Italian - we managed to communicate well! She does have 2 dogs that bark, sometimes early in the morning, which can interrupt the peace and quiet. Rather oddly, when we first arrived we had only been given 2 bedrooms. However, after a quick call to Anna, Marissa made up a 3rd bedroom for us. This was a little confusing as the VRBO booking confirmation stated that we had booked a 5 bedroom villa. So it’s worth confirming prior to booking what parts of the villa will be accessible to you if you are a small party. I’d recommend this villa to families looking for a villa in a stunning location with a great pool.

Summary: Wonderful house with so much room, quiet and comfortable, and pool with the best view I have ever seen. Hi he host Marisa is the best host - always nice and helpful. Location-wise, so much to do within 30min drive - although nothing reachable without a car

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful country house in Tuscany. Every day we went for long walks in the forests or sat at the terrace or in the pool area and enjoyed the view over the mountains to the sea and the isle of Elba. A weeks stay in this house gives peace to the soul. The house is tastefully decorated and fulfil all the needs for a family holiday. We went for shopping in Massa Maritima and enjoyed the picturesque villages Tatti and Prata. We are thankful to the owner, Anna, and the neighbour Marisa who both were very helpful during our stay. We would gladly come back.

Summary: We had a wonderful time in Tuscany! The house is a great place with strong historical flavor to it (I understand it's 200 years old!), while everything needed for comfortable modern living is available. The view is fantastic with rich flora and fauna. Overall - a perfect family vacation :)

Summary: My sister, brother and I had been talking for a long time to rent a house somewhere in Europe with our families. Being spread out all over Europe ( Sweden, Norway and Italy) it is not easy to find time and location to meet all together. But after having seen the photos and read the opionions above, we decided to go to this lovely house in Maremma, Tuscany. It was really the perfect place for our family reunion! The house was big enough to host all of us and with all the privacy each one needs. I agree with all mentioned in the opionions above about the accomodation and especially that the photos do not really show the beauty of it all. All the rooms are not only clean and comfortable but also very beautiful with the antique furniture and textiles. The house and its surroundings represent what most of us from Scandiniavia would regard as the true dream of a house in Tuscany ! The little house next to the swimming pool, where the teenagers stayed, has a little outdoor kitchen which was really practical during the long hot summerdays. We were lucky to have really sunny and warm weather which made it possible for use to use the swimmingpool and the jacuzzi a lot. As someone mentioned in another comment, it was quite difficult to leave the peace and beauty of the house and garden! We enjoyed many dinners on the terrace just enjoying the peaceful and lovely scenery accompanied by the sounds of silence and nature (including boars!). The only thing you need to do is to fill up your fridge! Being a group of 12 people you easily run out of food and since the nearest supermarket is quite far away you may not want to go shopping every single day. However, we do really recommend this place for bigger groups and families. You may first think it is expensive but when sharing the cost between three-four families it is more than worth it.

Summary: We spent a wonderful week in this fantastic house in the soft mountains of Tuscany! We found it a little hard to leave the large new pool with the magnificent view towards the sea and the island of Elba. But the house was also a good base for visiting the beautiful town of Sienna, the facinating middle age town of Massa Maritima, the beaches at the coast, the Etruscan necropolis and so on. Everything in the well-appointed and attractive house was clean and in perfect condition. A very kind lady came by to clean the pool etc. during the week. The house is very big with comfortable bedrooms each has its own bathroom. But our young couple spent most of their time in the outdoor kitchen in the small house at the edge of the pool. We also took advantage of the hot tub and the large Weber grill. This time we missed the traditional pizza oven just outside the kitchen door, only because we preferred the very good pizzas (and the homemade tiramisu) for nearly no money at the restaurant in the charming village of Tatti nearby (this is a tip for others!).

Summary: A fantastic villa in a magnificent environment, with a breath-taking view. The house is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean; very well equipped. Only one small suggestion: perhaps provide refuse bags, kitchen roll and aluminium foil for the guests' use. The guardienne was very welcoming and helpful and after a really violent thunderstorm, which left considerable damage outside, had everything pristine and repaired within a day. The access via a dirt track is perfectly manageable as long as you keep to the recommended speed. We had a wonderful, restful stay here and would love to return.
