A cosy well-protected property down a cul-de-sac beside the sea in a quiet neighbourhood, Stonelea is a 2 storey wooden cottage nestled in a beautiful rock garden.
On the north side is a large covered (and shaded) outdoor living area with a Weber BBQ, great for entertaining.
The upstairs verandah is ideal for enjoying a tipple after a lovely day exploring. There's the Hauparua Inlet by kayak, or walking the country roads around here, or maybe you've been for a drive to one of the many attractions around the Bay of Islands...
On the east side is the perfect sunny morning spot for coffee and croissants.
There's a small well-appointed kitchen for foodies.
The dawn chorus is subtle and beautiful, without roosters! The bird life is always entertaining, with many tui, quail, blackbird and thrush.

Special conditions:
No pets.
Smoking allowed outside only. Please, no butts in gardens.
Tank water, so care of water usage is needed.
Septic tank system, so use only the Eco products provided please.
There are 2 generous double bedrooms, and a small bedroom with a king single. We have a foam mattress that can be made up on the floor anywhere.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;

Summary: This is a beautiful home surrounded by amazing floral and fauna. We had daily visits from families of quail, tūī and kererū. The Windsor landing boat ramp is a 5 min drive and Kerikeri township is 20 mins. This was certainly a home away from home with enough parking for a car and a ute towing a 7 m boat. Contact with Ben was outstanding. Emails once we booked and before we arrived, along with a welcome text on the day of our arrival. Recommend if you want a relaxing, quiet (except for the noise of the birds and cicadas), and peaceful holiday.

Summary: Beautiful property, very clean in a lovely quiet location. Lots of outdoor chill-out space - sometimes we just wanted to stay and relax rather than go sight-seeing. Very friendly and helpful communication. Highly recommended.

Summary: Great place for a breakaway. We got there earlier than planned, and Ben was really accommodating, showed us around which was really helpful. Towels and linen provided which is great on holiday. Comfortable living spaces and beds, everything you need in the kitchen, and even the necessary electric bug zapper outside - a necessity. We never turned the TV on. Great little harbour beach a 5km hilly walk away (or 5 minutes in the car if you don't want to earn your swim) and concrete boat ramp only a couple of km around the road. Take care if you are towing a bigger boat (6m+), the turn in off the driveway is very tight.... you'll need some skills to back out again too. Nervous trailer backers be warned :-) Finally, the piece de resistance. On the final night we heard a male kiwi calling close by, and female responding. Awesome!

Summary: This property is the home of lovely people who have thought of everything to make you feel at home. They even printed out the tide charts for the local beach (a small beach, but lovely for a paddle nonetheless). There is plenty of shaded outdoor space to sit, well-maintained gardens with flowers and edibles, and a lovely, tidy house with curios and 3 comfortable bedrooms. Much better in person than the pictures would suggest. Appreciated the screens on all the windows and doors to keep the bugs out too. Would recommend to all!
