Summary: We stayed here at the end of September with our dog. It was gorgeous. The cabin is nestled in the middle of a gorgeous wood and there is a fenced yard if you have animals. The kitchen and bathrooms are very well set up. There are grocery stores 15 minutes away in either direction on the old island highway, either in Qualicum Beach or Fanny Bay. When we arrived there was banana bread for the people and treats for the dog. This is a perfect place to decompress and chill out. You can tell that Christina and Jay have built this magical place with much love. Thank you for the great holiday.

Summary: This little gem came with everything you could possibly imagine-cooking and eating utensils, condiments, coffee, cream and sugar ( yes real cream), and feline mascots. The location was off the road, and felt like you were deep in the forest surrounded by all the cedar trees-it was quiet, allowed you the comfort of sitting outdoors in rain and shine and was beautifully lit around the yard. We would definitely stay again as it was a good home base to explore the Central part of Vancouver Island!

Thanks Jay, for messaging us to say that the cottage was ready, so we could get in a little early. I would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day!

Summary: We booked this trip a year ago, which was a long time to plan and build expeditions. This cottage and our hosts exceeded all of them. The location is perfect. It’s just outside Qualicum Beach in a beautiful forested area. The property matches the photos, so you don’t run into any unpleasant surprises with a bait and switch. 10/10 would recommend.

Summary: We had a very nice stay at this cottage. The only negative was the mattress in the downstairs bedroom. It needs replacing. I ended up having to sleep upstairs as it was too soft and we kept rolling into each other as it had a dip in the middle. Otherwise, the cottage is very well equpped and the one challenge we had in not knowing how to light the bbq was promptly addressed by Jason. Our dog loved the yard and trails nearby.

Summary: After a cleanup hiccup at the start, our short two day stay was very enjoyable. The cottage is an easy 10 minute drive to Qualicum in a very quiet area. The fenced yard and wooded surroundings were excellent for our dog. The inside was comfortable for the two of us. With some fresh paint and a few minor repairs, the cottage would be five stars.
