Summary: The mattress springs were harsh I am still limping around from the ache in my hip. My back aches and my shoulder is sore. II slept on top of the comforter to add cushion. It helped some. Very nice people and service but I ache and now need a massage to enjoy the rest of my vacation.

Summary: Good service, rooms average (dirty carpets). We changed rooms because of a strange smell. The reception acted right away, without discussion, and give us another room. Staff very friendly.

Summary: Overall, a bit basic but it was an okay stay for one night in the winter. Mostly just the lack of transparency, as the hotel reception charged triple the amount of the 'additional fee' than what was listed on the Expedia site when booking. Otherwise fine for what you pay - thank you!

Summary: It's a beautiful place. The hotel is clean and the staff is helpful, smiling and attentive. We didn't have breakfast or eat at the restaurant but we saw people. Our terrace was on the roof side but we couldn't eat outside because of the cobwebs or something. On the sea side, the terraces seemed more accessible.

Summary: Really liked many aspects of this hotel. I was there in the winter for a visit to one of the many yards that calls Makkum home. Restaurant and service was two highlights and the view from the room was great. Bed and bedding, not so much, the team would need to switch things up for me to sleep well with both feeling dated and bedding not fitting well to the bed.
