Positive: The location is superb, overlooking beach and wetlands for bird viewing. It is a nice walk on the beach to town. The pool is the best feature, for a refreshing swim, lounging. There are lots of chairs. The local pizza cafe and small grocery are handy. Christophe is a great host, meeting at arrival and departure to help with luggage and orientation. We would love to rent this property again.
Negative: The parking can be a challenge and carrying in luggage and groceries is somewhat challenging, especially if mobility is limited.
Summary: We loved our apartment at Orient Bay for its view and comfort.

Positive: Fantastic and convenient location to a lovely stretch of beach. There was sargassum along the shore, which the beach clubs were raking, though there was more seaweed near the residential development the day I was there, so swimming was much better farther south towards Orient Bay proper. There is also a nice swimming pool available for residents only. The area is just beautiful -- wild donkeys roam the property, and I spotted a few iguanas too! I rented a small car and had no problems finding parking, though I had to go to a dirt lot at the bottom of the hill a couple of times, which can get muddy after it rains. A small convenience store and good pizzeria are located at the top of the hill, which were reasonably priced and had nice selections. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The view is towards the south to Orient Bay from the balcony and was just lovely. A washing machine is in the bathroom, and the kitchen is well-equipped with an induction range and toaster. The shower drain is a bit slow, but did not seem clogged, and was fine as long as you don't blast the water and keep a gentler stream. You're in the tropics, so just remember to store your food right away, otherwise you risk ants!
