1 Bedroom Cottage in West Dennis

Renovated cottage. New fixtures and large 43” wide bathroom stall, new flooring, newly painted cabinets, walls and trim. Plenty of cabinet space with all that you need within a comfortable, one room, 231 square foot studio. New double (full) size pullout sofa bed. Side chair unfolds for lounging or for use as a twin bed.
You will be only a .3 mile walk to South Village Beach and 1 mile to West Dennis Beach and shops downtown. You will also be able to walk to the Swan River Restaurant and Fish Market. Just down the street are many restaurants and one of the biggest antique shops on Cape. Close to ice cream shops, mini golf, golf, whale and seal watching attractions. The cottage is on a quiet private/residents only short gravel road.
For your comfort, a brand new ceiling and window fans (no air conditioning) keep the room cool and gas heat keeps you warm in the Spring and Fall. A 2 burner stove top within the kitchenette is great for cooking lobsters in the pot provided and a new gas grill is available. WiFi, cable TV included, as well as 12 cup coffee pot, coffee, filters, blender, toaster oven and microwave.
Bath towels, beach towels, cooler, sheets, pillows, pillowcases, 2 beach chairs, 2 noodles, a utility cart and a beach umbrella are also available for your conveniences! Enjoy the large deck with seating for 4-6. The cottage is an end unit, located on the end of a dead end gravel drive, within 12 small cottages. This cottage overlooks private woods with a peekaboo view of the Swan River. You may sometimes see kayakers paddling by!
There is a no smoking policy that includes within 50 feet of the surrounding area. Must be 21 years or older to rent. No pets and no children allowed under the age of six, per association, and no air conditioning of any sort is allowed to be brought in, so the electrical stays up to code.

Summary: Maureen is the best property owner I’ve met: she is personable, a great communicator, welcoming, helpful, and informative. The little cottage is beautiful and expertly equipped with hooks and clever storage to stretch the small space. The kitchenette (with dishes, sink, two-burner stove, toaster oven, microwave, and full-size fridge/freezer) was great for a week’s stay. The 3/4 bath (shower) suited my needs, and she supplied soaps/shampoos, hair dryer, towels, and TP. You can adjust ventilation and heat (thermostat and ceiling fan, locking windows) and the sleeping surfaces for comfort. Adequate outlets for power strips, etc., if you’re working during your stay. TV, too. It’s in walking distance from one beach and a quick drive to West Dennis beach with its spectacular sunsets. Everything I needed was there, including complete instructions. I loved her place!

Summary: This cottage was perfect for my week in The Cape. I stayed alone while visiting with family that rented a house nearby. The place is tiny but had every amenity I could need. S. Village beach is lovely where the Swan River flows into the Sound, only .3 miles away. Maureen was very attentive and helpful. Do realize that there is a pull out couch to sleep on.

Summary: My husband and I spent 6 night at Maureen's cottage, and had a wonderful time exploring the cape. First I would like to say Maureen is very easy to work with. She responds promptly to texts and e-mails, and gives detailed instructions/responses. The pictures on VRBO and the description are accurate. (Actually, the cottage is cuter than the pictures show). We felt we had plenty of room, as we had our morning coffee and dinners on the deck. What makes this a super good deal is that it is a short walk to the beach. If you drive and parked the cost is $25.00 a day. There were beach chairs, towels and an umbrella at the cottage. The only somewhat crowded day at the beach was fathers day. But even that day was not as bad as you'd expect. The only con's would be we could have used a couple of extra washcloths, and a few more spices to cook with. Over all a great experience and would book here again.

Summary: This studio cottage was a charming Tardis (see Dr Who). Good bed settee and other furniture in and outdoor. Very well equipped for our 10 night stay including a good range of cooking and eating equipment. Also several useful condements and assorted foodstuff. The decoration was best described a seaside chic, very restful.

Summary: My bucket list included seeing the Atlantic and seeing whales. I saw both and they were beautiful but my stay was made even more grand with my stay in this beautiful little cottage. It was quaint and quiet. A perfect place to stay while visiting the Cape. The cottage was clean and perfect for one or two. The owner Maureen was wonderful as well. I definitly would stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting the Cape

Summary: My daughter & her friend spent 6 nights at this small cottage which is perfect for 2 people. Since they are on a tight budget, they grilled on the deck every night & made sandwiches to take on day trips. Maureen has provided everything needed for a comfortable & relaxing stay. Additionally, Maureen was readily available when my daughter needed help in getting the grill going the 1st night. My daughter said she would definitely stay here again. Centrally located in West Dennis, it was convenient for day trips to Falmouth, Hyannis & PTown.
