Positive: An Bonnan Bui was an excellent cafe, and I had visited the museum, so I knew the building and location. If you are holidaying in Rathmullan it is a perfect spot as you are across the road from the pier and beach. Surprisingly quiet at night considering there is a pub on the opposite corner. I was in the first floor apartment where the Flight of the Earls museum used to be, and the main room is a good size. For a cooked breakfast or lunch you are only a few seconds walk from Belles Kitchen.
Negative: The kitchenette and shower / toilet section is small and cramped, which is a great pity as there is plenty of space to have a decent sized set of facilities. The quality of the workmanship and finish is rather poor, and evidently very cheaply done. Even though the building conversion cannot be much more than a year old it looks as though it is many many years old. There are multiple types of boards used for skirting, the skirting is cut short of the architrave, there is missing architrave etc. The poor quality cheap finish is a pity as otherwise it would be great.

Positive: Bed was very comfortable.Good quality bed linen. The apartment was warm, which given the awful weather was very welcome.
Negative: The very small shower/ bathroom. The decor was very old fashioned for us and considering the price was at the higher end we expected something more luxurious.

Positive: Excellent location - close to bars and restaurants, overlooking the pier. Easy on street parking. Extremely comfortable bed
Negative: A bigger bathroom would have been ideal but the layout of the building precluded that. Not really a problem.

Positive: I simply cannot fault this flat. Everything about it was perfect. The stove was so lovely, kept the flat very cosy. The stained glass feature is just amazing. The bed and pillows were more than comfortable. The kitchen has everything a person needs. I think my favourite feature was the windows, and the beautiful tree outside. And the lace net curtains. The flat has such a cottage feel. I was very happy to sit crocheting beside the fire sitting on the adorable wooden chair. It's just so beautiful. I felt sad leaving, but I will definitely be back.

Positive: Excellent location. Very comfortable and clean. Stain glass feature is beautiful. I just loved the vibe of the place. Quaint, quirky and a great find for our stay.
Negative: Due to the age/style of property you could hear noise between flats. This was no big deal for us but may be for others.
