Positive: Breakfast was not provided. The bed was comfortable and the property was very clean throughout. Our host, Ron, was very flexible and helpful. The situation is excellent, just a short walk from Central station. It was well-equipped: TV, wi-fi, etc. There were pleasing extra touches: Nespresso capsules, tea, sugar, creamer etc.

Negative: We found the decor a little gloomy, but that is perhaps in keeping with the period nature of the apartment. There is a microwave and a fridge, but no hotplate for cooking on. In our experience of similar apartments, both in the UK and abroad, that is unusual.

Summary: Excellent location, comfortable apartment.

Positive: Beautifully decorated, large studio room with kitchenette facilities. Big, Comfortable bed - shower room lovely - everything you could want for a short break in lovely Amsterdam. The location was perfect for access to the central parts of the city - tucked away down a quiet street near a canal. Short walk to the train station.

Negative: Not a thing to dislike.

Positive: The flat is a ten-minute walk from Amsterdam's central station but in a lovely little alleyway of beautiful buildings. So you are right in the centre, but at night there is perfect silence and with the extremely comfortable bed a great night's sleep is assured. The station is handy for day trips to other towns and from the flat itself you can walk almost everywhere. There's a really friendly pub just round the corner on the canal for food and drinks. The flat was clean, comfortable and decorated with a keen eye, so it made a perfect base, and our host was friendly, informative and welcoming. We had a great time.

Positive: Perfect location with proximity to the train station, ferry to get across the water, and to explore all parts of Amsterdam by foot. Peter was great with checking us in and we had 3 great nights here. The area felt mostly safe but definitely keep your head on a swivel late night if you’re walking back and don’t entertain anyone on the street looking for directions etc. Would definitely stay here again. Bed was unbelievably comfortable.
