At the end of a quiet lane, perched high on a hill top is a slice of heaven. Relax and unwind watching the sailboat races on Block Island Sound from just about every room of this large, stunning contemporary home. Sit out on the deck and soak up the sun, enjoy a meal or revel under a star lit evening with the moon reflecting off the bay. Wake in the master bedroom suite to a front row seat of the sun rising over Narragansett Bay without ever getting out of the bed.
With 3 floors of contemporary living space the main living area is on the 2nd floor. You will find a wide open floor plan; very large rooms; cathedral ceilings; skylights and expansive distant water views through large sliders out to the deck that spans the entire front of the house. Just off the huge living room is a large private room and bath which makes a great getaway room for the kids or another private bedroom suite. There are 2 large bedroom suites each with their own recently remodeled private bath on the 3rd floor. The master bedroom has a view that may make you never want to leave and en suite bath with a 6 ft soaking tub, glassed in shower; double sinks and a skylight. The 1st floor is more plain but has 3 bedrooms and a common bath that is great for kids or company.
The rear deck off the kitchen has a large gas grill and overlooks a huge backyard where there is plenty of room for frisbee or a touch football game. The house has a 2 car garage (complete with a fold-up ping pong table) with a large parking area outside which can easily accommodate up to 6 cars.
Of course what really brings people to this area is the ocean. There are 6 great beaches within 15 minutes of the house as well as salt water ponds that are perfect for kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Within a few miles are hiking and bike trails that ensures that every day is filled with outdoor fun. There are public tennis courts within a mile and golf courses in the area that are perfect for every level of play. For night time activity there are numerous restaurants and a multi-screen cinema nearby. Or you can relax at home by the fire under the stars out on the deck, playing games or watch a movie on the large screen TV.
If you are looking for someplace special that can accommodate a large family or even two families comfortably; a great space where you can all find something to do and reconnect; where you can do as much or as little as you want and have a great vacation either way than this is the place for you.

Summary: My family and I stayed in this house for 6 nights. I’ll start with all the positives.....The house is very large and can accommodate at least two families. There are 3 large bedrooms with attached bathrooms and multiple bedrooms downstairs with bunk beds and a separate full bathroom. The deck is beautiful with views of the Block Island Sound and plenty of seating for eating, lounging or sitting around the fire pit. The house has everything you might need for the beach-multiple beach chairs, boogie boards, kayaks, paddle boards, cooler etc. There is a ping pong table in the garage that our kids loved and a large TV in the Living Room. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, glasses, etc. The location was good. It took less than 10 minutes to get to multiple beaches and restaurants. It’s also about a 20-25 minute drive to downtown Newport. The negatives....We were very disappointed to realize that the house had not been cleaned when we got there. The owner was there fixing something when we arrived While he was kind enough to tell us about the area and give a quick tour around the house, we realized shortly after he left the extent to which the house had not been cleaned at all, aside from stripped beds (as a plus there were brand new sheets and towels). While we expected to wipe things down, and air out the house just to err on the side of caution, this was way beyond that. We spent our first few hours of vacation cleaning the kitchen, dirty bathrooms and various surfaces and vacuuming the house on the floors that we were using. This would be disheartening at any time, but it’s the age of COVID. We weren’t expecting the house to be sterilized for us, but we certainly weren’t expecting to have to clean food bits off counters and floors or dirty toilets. We reached out to the owner, who admitted that he had been fixing the washer/dryer and didn’t get to check on his helper’s work around the house, and was very apologetic. That said, it seemed like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in some time based on the dust bunnies etc.

Summary: We as a family group of 9 adults found this house to be perfect for a week of enjoying ALL of Southern RI. The living spaces, furnished decks, great kitchen and views all perfect. The bedrooms had AC but we found it wasn't needed as the breezes from being so elevated were ample. We all agree this is a gem and hope to re-visit many times. Many thanks to the owner for making it so comfortable and easy.

Summary: This is a beautiful house with lots of space inside & out perfect for large families. Plenty of room for family fun as well as some private time & space. Quiet private street, very safe. We had 6 adults, 3 kids under 5 and a dog. The view is awesome from both the huge deck as well as the master suite. We had the warmest-hottest- most humid week of the year so we missed the lack of air-conditioning although there were plenty of fans provided. Lots of extras provided that are often not provided in many other rentals. The HUGE HD-TV was great bonus to be able to watch a Patriots pre-season game on. Only a 5 minute drive to Narragansett town Beach & Pier area. 4 of 5 stars only because of the lack of A/C. A home this Nice should be both "Cool" & Cool. Loved it anyways Thank you.
