Willow House and artist studio is set in our own private native woodland. We have redesigned the entire first floor to create a stunning, contemporary space…Willow Apartment.
Marble floors, antique beds and shabby chic furniture come together beautifully to create a stylish, welcoming, well equipped apartment for you to relax in and enjoy.
The space
Willow apartment is located 5 minutes from the quaint Georgian heritage village of Ramelton. An idyllic tranquil property, the apartment occupies the entire first floor of Willow House and working artist studio. The residence is set in 1.3 acres of native forest and mature gardens which boast over 100 species of trees and shrubs, including 11 species of native Irish trees.
The apartment is a clean,contemporary, individually styled space. Private entrance to the apartment is through a shared utility room. Bedroom 1.. Antique brass and iron double bed (4ft 6"), shabby chic furniture and Italian marble floor. Views out over the treetops towards Lough Swilly and the iconic Donegal mountains Errigal and Muckish. This room has an adjoining modern wet room with wash basin and loo. Bedroom 2... Antique brass and iron queen size (4ft) bed, shabby chic furniture and Italian marble floor. Looks out onto lawn area and mature trees.
Beds are dressed with feather duvets and sumptuous 800 thread count bed linen.
Bathroom.. Spacious modern bathroom with full size bath and glass shower area, wash basin and loo.
The beautiful Italian marble stair and hall area is bright and spacious. Fully fitted open plan kitchen with artisan built iroko worktops, oven, ceramic hob, sink, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wrought iron dining table and chairs, large comfy pouffes, 3 seater leather couch. Smart TV with Netflix.
Wi-Fi, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher and first aid kit.
Ample pots, pans, dishes and cutlery.
Hairdryer, towels, bedding, hangers, shampoo, conditioner and body soap.
Check in from 3pm by smart lock. Check out up to 11am.
Not suitable for children under 12.
We have a stunning 40,000 litre fish pond.
The property is a smoke free zone.
No parties or events No extra guests.
Use of the washing machine by request.

We have well behaved, shy domestic cats on the property.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Willow apartment. The standard of cleanliness and attention to detail was exceptional. Janet was very responsive to queries. The apartment is situated 15 minutes from letterkenny in a very quiet area. Perfect location if you want a peaceful stay but still access all that Letterkenny has to offer. The showers were not very powerful but this was the only small drawback to our stay. We would highly recommend this property

Summary: Great location, good accomodation, spotlessly clean. Only issue was absence of welcome from the hosts, milk or coffee which we found somewhat unusual. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We booked about six months in advance and within that six month period our plans changed by one day. In the afternoon of day before the day we were leaving I got a message that, check-out time was 11, the cleaner was there, when were we leaving. I had forgotten to notify to owner we would be staying another day. I was in a panic as we hadn't packed, we were not at the house, we needed another place to stay that night. The manager had requested I call him, unfortunately on VERBO the number was x'ed out. I emailed the manager and he responded in a relatively short time that we could in fact book another night. We booked quickly and stayed. I think maybe VERBO should send an automated message the day before moving day. In addition, VERBO should not X out phone numbers.

Summary: House is very convenient to Ramelton, Milford an Letterkenny. Rooms were clean and well appointed. We didn't cook but kitchen seemed nice. A very pleasant hike away from the Killydonnell Friary. I would go back.

Summary: An immaculately kept property that had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Janet was so helpful and responded to our enquires so promptly. The surrounding area is beautiful.
