The Bear’s Den Shuswap Lake-side Cabin sits on 76′ of waterfront property; with a dock, and a warm southern exposure for sunshine all day long, you are sure to enjoy every moment of your stay. The large deck offers 180 degree views, allowing for morning sunrises, spectacular evening sunsets, and the chance to watch the moon rise and set over the mountains, along with stunning views of Copper Island. As you step inside the front door, you are greeted with views of the lake and an open area that includes a kitchen, cozy living room with a fireplace, a dining area seated towards great views of Copper Island, with a walk-out right on to the large deck.
On the same level, the master bedroom steps out onto the hot tub area and deck, with ample seating and a gas fireplace. The basement of the main cabin is located through a separate entrance on the ground level. Here you will find the recreation room with an entertainment area, a full bathroom, laundry room, and a large bedroom with beautiful lake views. This basement bedroom walks out to a covered patio area facing the beach, which is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee.
Secondly, an adorable, heated bunk house located off of the back deck has three beds inside, as well as its own 2-piece bathroom.
At The Bears Den, there is always plenty of space and activities to enjoy time with your friends and your family. Either playing horseshoes on the lawn, soaking up sunshine on the beach, or keeping warm with the wood pellet burning fireplace in the main cabin, The Bears Den is the Ultimate Location for your Vacation!

Summary: Stayed with my parents and brothers family. 5 adults and 3 children total. House is very welcoming and clean. Lake was nice, but beach is rocky, but we knew this from photos in the listing. Barbara was great and helped with any issues that came up during our stay and was quick to respond when we ran out of propane for the bbq. They have lots of card games to play as well. Our only complaint was that the listing photos and description were inaccurate with how it was setup. We booked it solely for the basement having bunkbeds in it for my My brother, Sister in-law and 3 children. Barbara was apologetic and amended the description when it was brought to her attention. The bunk-bed/basement was one of the main reasons we booked it, but we ended up making due with a mattress and couch for the toddlers. There is no inside access to the basement from the main upstairs area, wasn't an issue, but a consideration for families with kids. A couple small notes that kinda irked us included taking your garbage out, 30 minutes drive to the transfer station, it's not included in the fee/cleaning, as well as having to bring our own bedding if we didn't pay an extra fee for theirs (we were aware from the listing, but it's an extra fee or hassle to bring your own, and is something that should be included in the price/cleaning fees as well) The view is great, the lake is beautiful, the property is well kept and quiet. We would definitely consider coming back in the future.

Summary: Was a beautiful cabin with a spectacular view right on the water. Was fully stocked and then some with everything you need (just like you would have at home). Hosts were attentive and responded quickly to any questions. Sitting in the hot tub enjoying the view as a highlight. Wish we could have stayed longer.....will definitely go back!

Summary: we had three familys with kids and this cabin suited us all one family had the downstairs the other took the cabin and us grandparents had the upstairs kitchen and had a (solid sleep each night as we could hear the others) other than a rocky beach so bring water shoes we had a great stay and enjoyed the meteor shower on the large deck We all would stay again...

Summary: Beautiful spot on Shuswap Lake. Spacious home. Large decks. Right on the waterfront with your own beach and dock. Very close to marina for launching boat etc. Quiet around May long weekend, so very peaceful. Almost had whole lake to yourself at times. Weather was about 50/50 and the lake was rising so by the time we left on May 27th, not much beach left to sit on so we sat on the dock. Would love to stay again.

Summary: Perfect spot to unwind. The place had a real coziness feel to it. King bed on main floor was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. Huge fridge. The detached private bedroom in the back was tastefully decorated. Having its own bathroom made it perfect. Enjoyed the pool table downstairs. I think the only downfall was you had to go outside to access the second bedroom and games room downstairs. I would highly recommend this rental. . Will return next year
