Charming newly renovated c1790 house on Old Mount Tom 1 1/2 hours from NYC! located between Lake Waramaug and Bantam Lake. Super quiet and private. Lovely flowering trees on property. Beautiful lawn. Close to many wonderful nature hikes. The best restaurants in CT are just 10 minutes away! Antique shops. Three separate bedrooms, master bedroom with king sized bed and bathroom en suite. Second bedroom has king sized bed. Third bedroom has a queen size bed. Two bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs. Second bathroom is very large and equipped with a two person Jacuzzi. Modern kitchen with large refrigerator, laundry room with washer and dryer. BBQ outside! Please---no parties!

Summary: A beautiful old home with historic details carefully preserved - with modern conveniences and updates. The property was stunning - fenced-in backyard with a great pool, incredible landscaping and flowers, field beyond the fence and woods beyond the field. Tons of birds - including baby turkeys! Kristina was a thoughtful and easy-to-reach host, and we had everything we needed. House is decorated stylishly, although might not work for very young children - vases, pottery, etc. on tables. Bantam area has lots to do, especially outside: some great hikes only minutes away. We’ll definitely be back!

Summary: This was our second summer spending a week in this lovely home in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Our family of four spent the week enjoying our surroundings, relaxing, swimming and reading in a very comfortable home that had everything we needed. A well equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals in or the owner’s very detailed notes had many good recommendations for restaurants, and local activities. Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this one of a kind antique home close to all that Litchfield has to offer. The homeowner’s have done a lovely job furnishing the home with a great blend of old and new pieces. The kitchen is fully equipped with every appliance you could possibly need. We particularly enjoyed the sitting area for morning coffee that provides a view to the pool. One of the best features of this home, is the comfortable beds. The King and 2 Queens are all like new mattresses. The bedding and towels provided are also very high quality. There are toiletries provided in both gorgeous newly remodeled baths upstairs (marble tiling). Oh, and there are even robes provided to add to the spa like feeling. Grab a pool towel, provided, and head out to the fabulous gunite pool. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool as we stayed during a July heatwave. Very well kept, private and yet close to town (10 min). Would highly recommend and return. Homeowner very quick to respond to any/all questions we had. Thanks!

Summary: My husband and I stayed in this rental# 847310 for four weeks. The house location, its beautiful private setting, and practical interior set-up are ideal.We tend to like uncluttered home interiors and this house offers that as well as the preservation of many appealing 1790 features. The owners' concern that the house meet our needs was evident throughout all owner-tenant communications. The house Instructions left little confusion regarding house care as well as offering suggestions for community events and northwest Connecticut destinations. Without a doubt we hope to return to this property!

Summary: This charming house was perfect for a much needed rest. The pool and grounds were beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Linens were great. The owner was wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. Very easy to communicate with and got back quickly. Only suggestion would be to have a comfortable and easy to maintain patio furniture for outdoor eating and entertaining. It's such a beautiful setting to have dinner but needs a nice table and chairs. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you so much Kristina, and we hope we can come again.

Summary: Our son was graduating from a High School near this Bantam home, therefore it was a great place for family to stay over Memorial Day weekend. The house is well accommodated and located. Lots of foodie haunts nearby. The notes the owner sent were excellent!

Summary: We had a great time. The pool was wonderful as were the baby bunnies we found. Great bakeries and restaurants in the area. There are also a few beautiful preserves in the area for biking and hikes. We had a great time.The property was well maintained. Great place to have a barbecue at night and watch the songbirds in the morning. Property was well maintained and the owners were helpful and accessible. A few minor suggestions for next year: 1. While the kitchen was great it lacked large pots for boiling water for things like corn on the cob etc. 2. Window fans upstairs. The altitude is higher than the coast, but on the really hot days the bedrooms failed to cool adequately at night. It cooled down well at night outside. I don't think A/C is necessary, but window fans would definitely do the trick.
