Positive: The layout of the house was perfect for us. The location was so quiet and peaceful. Bedrooms were large and airy. Beds were extremely comfortable. Couldn’t hear any noise from the other bedrooms. Garden was as shown in the images. Large garden all secure for the dogs. Sofa was comfortable as was the dining table nd chairs. All in all couldn’t have asked for a better cottage for our group and the price was extremely reasonable too. Every room was cleaned to very high standard so well done to the owner for all the positives. We agreed that it was the first cottage we would definitely come back to. Ticked all our boxes.
Negative: Only minor things that didn’t impact our break away at all. Wi-Fi password wasn’t visible. Took a while to get that up and running. Not major issue really. Worktops in kitchen had a lot of appliances which I appreciate air fryer and coffee machine seem like things people might like but there wasn’t really enough space on worktops for food preparation. Very few towels like tea towels and one room didn’t have towels but again wasn’t a major issue. Apart from that only other thing that didn’t impact us at all was bbq ….if we did want to use it, it wasn’t very clean. Otherwise all excellent.
Summary: Perfect cottage in quiet rural location with amazing views and everything you need for a break away

Positive: The location of the Remodeled Cottage definitely is picturesque & very quiet.
Negative: The cottage owner has done the refurbishment mainly in the living room & bathroom; but there are some remarks that should be highlighted not just for the potential future guests of the cottage but also for the sustainability of the owner’s investment. The first challenge is the availability of the hot water in the bathroom. The current system for heating the water is not giving enough hot water for using the shower; with “care & economics” it can serve only two guests. In case that there are more guests, they will need to wait for half an hour before the next batch can use the shower. The other challenge is the condition of some of the kitchen amenities. More specific, the condition of the water kettle is very bad, the bottom of the kettle has a black layer & it can’t be cleaned. According to any health standards in this world, that kettle shouldn’t be used in any circumstances. We have reported this remarks to the owner but unfortunately the discussion wasn’t constructive. Also, the frying pan is overused or maybe badly used; and it is not advisable to use it. We had to buy a new frying pan just to make our stay more comfortable. Luckily, we left it there for the other guests to use. The most frustrating part of this experience that we knew about the above remarks from the comments of the previous guests; but we thought that the owner “logically” would take care about it, and would make the experience of the future guests better. Especially when it relates to enhancement of low and minimal costs (e.g. frying pan & water kettle).

Positive: We had an amazing 2 night stay for Hogmanay/New Year. The property was spacious, beautifully decorated, cosy and warm and had everything we needed. The large secure garden space for the dogs to run around in. The views were incredible and there were plenty of walks around the area to enjoy. The property is very peaceful and relaxing, the perfect location to disconnect from the world.
Summary: Perfect peaceful getaway with incredible views.

Positive: We had a fab time staying with friends at this beautiful cottage for the weekend. It has a beautiful cosy feel to it and It’s in the beautiful countryside. So peaceful and safe. Due to the weather and time of year we didn’t get the use of outdoors but we are talking about booking for the summer so we can sit round the fire pit outside! 😍
Negative: Minor faults that wouldn’t put us off returning - we needed to purchase additional wood from a local shop to burn as there was only a small amount outside (unless there was more but we couldn’t find it) - only one oven tray ( slight inconvenience as we were cooking for 6 people ) - beds were extremely uncomfortable and squeaking - no hairdryer as stated
Summary: Cosy peaceful chilled weekend , will definitely be back 🥰
