The Shippon at Park View Farm, a beautifully presented modern and contemporary holiday cottage set in a lovely rural Devon location offers the perfect base for couples and small families looking to explore the surrounding North Devon countryside, nearby coast and Exmoor National Park. Set just outside the village of Kentisbury, the North Devon coast and its award winning beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton are all within a 20 minute drive away. There are also numerous family attractions such as Exmoor Zoo, Combe Martin Wildlife Park and National Trust Arlington Court, all within easy reach for enjoyable days out. A visit to Exmoor, where you can walk miles across the rugged unspoilt moors (sometimes without seeing a soul), or a trip to pretty villages of Lynton and Lynmouth is another definite must during a stay at The Shippon.
The Shippon at Park View has been finished and furnished to an exceptional standard throughout, and comfortably sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. These include a wonderfully spacious master bedroom with king-sized bed and en-suite shower room, and a lovely twin room with two full size single beds, that is serviced by a family bathroom, with bath and shower overhead.
On the same floor, a spacious living room has been furnished in a contemporary style and features two stylish sofas, a large armchair along with a wall-mounted TV and Sony PlayStation. A lovely space to retreat together for relaxing evenings after days out exploring the local area. The kitchen has recently been fitted with white modern sleek units, and all your modern day appliances. These include an oven with hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee machine. A handy utility cupboard in the hallway is home to a washing machine and other cleaning appliances. For dining, there is a large dining table and plenty of seating for 4 guests in the kitchen.
A fantastic feature of The Shippon at Park View Farm is the enclosed courtyard. It has the added benefit of its own private hot tub under cover, so you can relax away your stresses, whatever the weather. For outdoor dining, pretty solar lights along with outdoor dining furniture and a BBQ have been thoughtfully provided and has created a lovely space to make the most of the sunshine.
This family friendly property is ideal for those to relax in luxury accommodation with plenty do and see, all within a short drive away. The owners also include a beach pass which will give you free parking at Putsborough Sands Beach.

Summary: This cottage is ideally situated if you looking for a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle of life. It has everything you need/want to make sure your holiday is as smooth sailing as you need. From the decor to the utilities and appliances nothing was left unforgotten and the hot tub was an added bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our break and will definitely keep this one in mind for another year.

Summary: We would say that the Shippon is a very high end holiday let. Everything has been well thought through and is very warm and comfortable and done to a high standard. The outside space with hot tub and plenty of comfortable seating. It makes a really lovely place to sit at the end of a day exploring all of the North coast line not far from you. Also the bonus of being dog friendly. Plenty of thought for your pet is catered for. Looking forward to a return visit .

Summary: Good clear directions to property, when entering the property was greeted with a clean fresh smell. We have stayed in quite a few rental properties over the years and The Shippon was one of the best! With good quality detail it was warm welcoming Plenty of space with comfortable furnishings and the inviting hot tub was a winner. Definitely would recommend

Summary: We had a fantastic time at The Shippon at Park View Farm. A very spacious and well equipped cottage with pretty much everything you could possibly need for an extended stay. We cooked in most evenings and the kitchen facilities were good. The beds were nice and comfy and the showers were excellent. Everything was very well maintained and all the little details had been thought of! The only thing to be aware of on booking is that it is a little off the beaten track with the final mile long lane to reach the cottage being quite narrow in places but that's typical in this area! In terms of amenities nearby, you are only 15 minutes from Ilfracombe and 30 minutes from Barnstaple so easy enough to get shopping in. Our favourite attraction nearby was Quince Honey Farm (about 30 minutes drive away) and it's also worthwhile going to see the RNLI's practice launch and recovery in Ilfracombe on a Thursday evening! Back to the cottage, providing milk, eggs and prosecco on arrival at The Shippon was a very nice touch! A real highlight of The Shippon was the Hot Tub and outdoor patio which was ideal for relaxing in the evening and comes with a little BBQ to use. We'd absolutely return and hope to do so one day!

Summary: My family and I stayed at The Shippon for a long bank holiday weekend and we had the best time. It is a beautiful home where they have thought of everything to make it feel like home. So comfy, clean and luxurious. The hosts Coral and Nick were fantastic and Coral even offered to get a couple of balloons put up before we arrived as it was a surprise for my husbands birthday. A lovely bottle of bubbly was waiting for us too. The hot tub and outside courtyard and very private and really added to our trip. The location is rural and quiet, but only 20 mins from Woolacombe and ilfracombe. We will 100% be coming again, we loved it!

Summary: When we first stepped in we were amazed at the home, and it was a fantastic base for a long weekend in North Devon. Everything was clean and of a high standard, the hot tub was warmed up, it was a cosy cottage to relax for a morning and evening. A very peaceful place to stay, we will be back at some point soon.

Summary: We were so relaxed and at home in this holiday accommodation, everything was immaculate when we arrived and really carefully considered for a comfortable and luxurious stay, the hot tub was also a fab treat. We would highly recommend staying at the Shippon!

Summary: We all absolutely loved our stay at the Shippon. Our collie really appreciated the bed, dog treats and bowls that were left out for him. He felt very welcome! The whole house was very clean, well appointed and felt very cosy and warm. The outside area is lovely - we just wished we'd had the weather to fully appreciate it! We loved the hot tub and the outside lighting.
