Summary: I was a little worried because the owner was new to VRBO, but I am so glad I booked this place! It was a lovely place in what I would say is a pretty darn perfect location! The units are in a little alcove right on the river. Newish to Amsterdam, I didn't understand how lovely the river is - it's wonderful for pedestrians and bikers! Also, walking up the river takes you right to the central part of the city - you'll get there in about 25 minutes! I went with my 19-year-old daughter (which worked out great) and we explored the areas between the apartment and the central city on both sides of the river - which includes a lot of the areas where you'd want to explore such as the Jewish Quarter and de Pijp. In addition, there is a wonderful little cafe / restaurant right there called the Greek Embassy with ample outdoor seating for nice days. AND, the subway is right around the corner too! If all that were't enough, Arild did a nice job stocking the place with coffee pods (yay!) plus a few bottles of water and beer (Yay!). The beds were comfortable and the hot water was hot with good pressure - not always the case in Europe! We couldn't have been happier. Thanks for having us!
