The largest of 4 apartments at the same property. This unit has limited availability. Please contact host if intrested.
Over 850 sq ft. Cozy yet spacious. Full kitchen with newer appliances. Recently renovated bathroom… on the smaller side, but fully functional.
• Bedrooms have newer memory foam mattresses, nice linens and dresser/closet space.
• Very fast internet and a dedicated work area with a desk.
• Kitchen is well stocked with supplies and staples.
• Living room has a small dining area, a fireplace (non-functioning) and a deep seated leather sofa.
• Large TV with streaming/movies.
• Back yard features a screened-in sun porch, gardens, fountain and an outdoor cook station.
• Laundry facilities (shared with the 2 other units)
The area is very safe, well lit and secure. There’s a Ring alarm system, exterior cameras and local police/sheriff are in very close proximity as well.

This is an owner occupied property. This means the owner will be may be on premises most of the time staying in another unit. We very much appreciate when guests follow the house rules and any given instructions. The more a guest can leave the place in the condition they’ve found it, the better. If conditions are found unfavorable upon a guest’s departure, that guest will be charged for excessive cleaning/damages by the host retaining some or all of the security deposit. A price list is included in the Guide as an estimate for damages should they occur.
Families are welcome, but be warned- the place is not child-proofed and we may require an extra security deposit for small children. As stated, the apartment accommodates up to 6 people. 4 comfortably. 2 on a Queen bed in the lager bedroom and 2 on a double bed in the smaller, and up to 3 more in the Living Room area on a queen air bed for a supplemental charge. It is preferred that the couch not be used as a bed. One should also note, there is only 1 bathroom and it is on the small side. Please inquire for special sleeping arrangements.
For longer term stays* an additional security deposit is required. Unfortunately, we do not commit to short term stays (5 days or less) several months in advance. Ask about an additional discount for stays more than 30 days. SORRY NO OTHER DISCOUNTS OUTSIDE THE WEEKLY DISCOUNT FOR UNDER 30 DAYS (the price as quoted by VRBO includes the 10% weekly and 20% monthly discounts).
PETS: Overall pets are not allowed. However, small pets under 60 lbs may be considered on a case-by-case basis per the Host's discretion. An agreement to a set of rules/contract is required along with a $25 per night fee if a pet is allowed. A $250 pet deposit will be required for longer term stays*. This is in addition to the $250 security deposit. Service animals may require documentation of proof. Support animals will require a filled out questionnaire as well as documentation. A final walk-through will also be required prior to departure. Regardless of classification type, guests are responsible for any damage, replacement or extensive cleaning due to their animals.

Summary: The wife and I stayed at this location for about a week and loved it! For the same price as a modest hotel, the fantastic property owner (Tom) set us up two work stations so we could both work remote while we were in town. The location was great for this as a nice mini mall was a very short walk out the front door and we could get a verity of options for lunch. Noise was great for how I thought it would be. It’s close(ish) to a major road and a mall but we only heard noise “late” on a weekend night, but it stopped by 10pm. There is a lot of charm and character in this apartment, and it is not recommended for anyone over 6’ for an extended stay due to the size of the shower. That would really be the only issue I could see when renting here. Tom is great and well for sure contact him again when we’re in town!

Summary: This is our second stay at this property. It works great for our family of four. My son enjoys sleeping on the couch. There are so many restaurants within a mile or two. We used the grill this time, so you don't have to eat out all the time. Tom is readily available should you need his assistance.

Summary: Tom was a great host and went above and beyond anything we expected. The apartment was a great find for our visit and had everything we needed. It was quiet, clean and plenty of space. It was also near grocery store, gas station, and downtown area with many restaurants and shopping malls. If we are ever in Rockford again we hope to stay here again!! Thanks Tom for everything!!

Summary: I was surprised to find a vacation rental at all in Rockford and was thrilled to have stumbled upon this property. Located in the back of a barber shop, it has an unsuspecting exterior that opens up to a quaint stylish apartment that has been remodeled to include the cutest details with the guest in mind. The sling TV was just installed before our arrival, the bathroom was loaded with toiletries, and the kitchen was stocked with light groceries so we were able to enjoy breakfast every morning without having to do any shopping. We stayed a few nights in January during sub-zero temperatures, and the heat was fighting to meet the temperature at which we set the thermostat. We are used to a much warmer climate so the temperature would probably have been fine for other midwesterners. Highly recommend this rental. The interior decorating keeps you intrigued, and the attentive owners make you feel welcomed.

Summary: We stayed here over Christmas 2017. The owner, Tom, was very responsive to our questions and went out of his way to help us with our concerns even whilst away himself at Christmas. He even decorated the living room for Christmas! We very much appreciated the extras such as the welcome basket, groceries in the fridge, etc. The place is, generally speaking, spacious, comfortable and cozy. We were visiting family over the holidays and the place was very conveniently located. The wi-fi worked great. We appreciated the ability to be able to watch Netflix during our downtimes.There was a major cold snap while we were there and the furnace worked well; however the property itself is a bit drafty so was always on the cooler side and the floors were quite cold. There's no alarm clock in the bedroom. We would have personally liked it if there was local TV (a digital antenna may have solved this inexpensively.) Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay here & would likely stay here again, when Rockford isn't in the middle of a deep freeze!

Summary: My husband and I were very satisfied with the accommodations! We called this location a little bungalow. 😊 The bed was extremely comfortable! The space was perfect for us. It was clean with everything you could need. Very close to all the major roads and retail. We were very pleasantly surprised to see all the groceries provided. Tom, the manager/owner was very accommodating and responsive. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.

Summary: This place in Rockford was great for our family of four. The parents had their own room. The daughter had her own room. The son happily slept on the couch; he does that at home too. There was plenty of room for all of us to hang out for 6 days. It is a quiet, clean, newly remodeled place within view of CherryVale Mall. The strip mall next door is within walking distance; we visited it three times for pizza and Chinese food. We would definitely want to stay here again for future Rockford visits.
