Summary: My partner and I stayed at Ellen’s place for 5 nights over Christmas - it was a wonderful getaway! The space is designed as one big open space (like a studio) with very large windows overlooking a pond. It is extremely cozy and quiet. Note that there are no shades to block out light so you might want to bring an eye mark of you are sensitive to light in the morning. It snowed quite a bit but Ellen was very communicative with us and a snow plower came to ensure the path was clear. I still recommend to come with a sturdy SUV and snow tires during winter. I also recommend guests to shop groceries before arriving as the local shops are quite basic.The kitchen was well equipped which was very useful as we cooked everyday! The only downside was that the gas fireplace was not working and we didn’t know about it, it would have made the atmosphere even cozier.

Summary: My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Pondhouse. Ellen was a very gracious hostess, and was especially kind to help us when we experienced a flat tire (she hooked us up with a local repair shop, and drove us to purchase groceries during the repair.) The property was beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of space to walk our dog on the property itself, and on the adjacent road. The location was perfect, with easy access for family wedding activities at Jeffersonville, Smuggler’s Notch, and Stowe. Highly recommend!!

Summary: Ellen was great and our stay at the cottage was very pleasant. It had everything we needed and was very cozy and comfortable. The WiFi was occasionally slow at random, but overall no problems at all.

Summary: Our host Ellen was amazing. Ellen made a point to check in and meet us and ask if we needed anything. The area is stunning and the house is beautiful, much more than I expected from the listing.

Summary: This is a great place to stay. Close to Stowe, Smugglers Notch, and many local villages and attractions. Clean and nicely appointed, comfortable bed and lots of cooking tools (I love to cook a lot, we only eat out once or twice when we come up). The big front windows overlook the little pond and the beautiful grounds, and we can see the sun come up over the cloud shrouded mountaintops most mornings. It’s lovely. Ellen is a wonderful host and is just a message away if we need anything. We love Ellen!!
