Positive: We really enjoyed our stay in Ratnapura 🌿. The guesthouse was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a super generous and delicious breakfast 🥭☕. The room didn’t have air conditioning, but after we asked, the host kindly provided us with an extra fan – such a thoughtful gesture 🙏. The location is easy to reach by tuk-tuk or public transport, and just a 15–20 minute walk from the center for dinner. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made everything even better. Highly recommended!

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay. It felt just like home. The hosts were very kind and helped us in the morning sort our taxi. The room was very clean and had a cosy feeling to it. The bathroom was also good. Overall we had a great stay there and will definitely be staying there again when we return to the area!

Positive: The Summer Ridge Homestay is a really nice guesthouse with a super friendly and welcoming host family. The breakfast they prepared for us was very, very tasty and plenty. Their son Shawn showed us around Ratnapura and guided us on a day trip to visit a gem mine and a demonstration of gem processing. Additionally, we stopped at a beautiful waterfall for a swim. Thank you very much!!

Positive: Very nice and quiet place in the nature but not to far from the center. From there you can do all the activities around Ratnapura. The room was super clean and comfortable. The family is friendly and very helpful, they tried me like a son. It was a special experience, thank you so much.

Positive: Since Ratnapura is a very busy city (loud and smelly), it,s nice to be in a quiet place away from the bustle of the town. Summer Ridge is a 12 minute walk away from a main street up on a green hill among tropical vegetation and fantastic birds. It,s nice and quiet. If you have a choice, take the room with the balcony.

Negative: The owner is friendly and helpful, but food, which is promised in the description of the place (5$ each), was not offered.
