Positive: Proximity to the beach was amazing and the family were so sweet and kind. Breakfast was good each morning (included) and they also did lunch for me 2x days.
Negative: There was a little small that came from the bathroom, but I closed the door at night and otherwise wasn’t there much so it was fine

Positive: Large comfortable bed. Very close to good swimming beach, best I have seen in the country. Really nice when not crowded with loud tourists from nearby hotels.
Negative: Only bed and drying rack in room, no shelf or table to put items on. Very small fan not really adequate for cooling off room. Only outlet for charging devices when running fan was in bathroom. Poor wifi at times. Annoying to find out day I was leaving that listing is incorrect and they expect cash payment, had to spend 20 minutes going to ATM in last hour before booked taxi arrival, don't know why they couldn't tell me earlier they expected cash instead of CC only as in listing. Food was difficult. Included breakfast was either cold or lukewarm and bland or drowning in salt. Finally I got them to make omelets without salt. I had dinner here first night and was surprised to find they served me bland lukewarm rice, curry and fish as every other place served hot food. Coffee was weak as usual in country, I spiked with starbucks instant coffee. Food was also difficult in nearby areas. Didn't like local restaurants after very hot walk there. Didn't like the overpriced touristy restaurants at the beach with loud tourists and tourists smoking cigarettes. I really like supporting homestays but this place needs improvements in communication and food.

Positive: Hospitality is world class. Super cute and nice family, does everything to help the customers to get what they need. Felt like home. Right on the beach, and breakfast was yummy! Lots of love.
Negative: First we had super nice couple living on the next room, but on the last day there was a new lady who was complaining about _everything_(even the most typical sri lankan stuff for example monks chanting in the morning) I want to make this good review so people can find the place. It’s worth of the money.

Positive: The family especially Dinisha was very welcoming, the location is superb, right on the beach. She provided delicious breakfasts every day and a very good rice and curries meal one night. Lovely place to stay and relax in Unakuruwa.
