The farm was built 1851 and is listed on the ct historic register. The house features a large kitchen with a commercial range and granite counters. There is patio area over looking a formal garden and the orchards. There is large screened in porch. It is situated on 42 acres to explore, great for hiking and cross country skiing. There is pond and a gorge with a water fall. The town beach is 1/4 mile away and has a life guard and picnic area.There are 2 beautiful barns. During certain times during the year there are cows in the pasture. The cows are fun to watch and are very docile, friendly and are very good listeners. The property is family/kid friendly, and a crib is available.

Summary: Our arrival was through mist the day before Christmas. The fog so thick we couldn't really see where we were. We opened the door to Sun Hill and found a warm welcoming Christmas scene, complete with tall Christmas tree alight and nutcrackers decorating the hearth and mantle. The kitchen was a cook's dream, well stocked with everything we could need. Our family enjoyed a wonderful holiday in which we could relax and enjoy each others company to the fullest.

Summary: We have stayed here before. It’s an old quirky farm house with a huge kitchen dining and living room. . As nice as the kitchen is, no salt, pepper, condiments ect.

Summary: We stayed in this charming and spacious antique farm house in order to be close to Mohawk Mountain for a few days of skiing with our friends and young kids. It was a convenient location not only to the mountain but also to Kent and Cornwall and other charming local towns, sites, hikes, waterfalls and covered bridges in this very beautiful part of CT. I’m sure it’s lovely in summer too (although the listing that says it’s 1/4 mile from Waramaug is a bit misleading). The house is comfortable and well appointed. We would stay again.

Summary: Looking for a long week out of the city, Paul's house was perfect for our family to spread out and enjoy the outdoors. The house is a charming farmhouse, with an extremely well-equipped kitchen. As most of our fun around the holidays centers around cooking, this was a welcome and appreciated amenity. The house has several sleeping areas, and we were able to spread out to accommodate everyones needs. When we had a small issue with the furnace, Paul took our call immediately and resolved the problem before it was an issue. We enjoyed the surrounding property, too -- my daughters especially loved visiting the pond and waterfall. When we left the house, we enjoyed visiting New Preston for shopping, New Bantam for groceries and breads, and White Horse Country Pub for dinners.

Summary: House was perfect for our group of nine. Great updated kitchen, large dining room table for family game nights. Loved the speakers built into the ceilings for relaxing music. Two living room areas were perfect for the kids to have room to read and work on homework. Tropical storm Isaias came during our stay, and the owner was extremely responsive and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, and were able to stay for duration of our week. Area has plenty to do, including the CT wine trail, we definitely will return. Thank you!
