Summary: The hotel has good staff that give good advice and about where to eat and security - which is an issue. It is not recommended to walk outside for westerners due to streetboys. The hotel itself is a 3 star hotel, in european standards. A bit run down, but clean. The restaurant on 5th floor, Vincent, is very good.

Summary: I stayed at Sunbird Mount Soche for a whole week and we held a 2 day business meeting (with 37 attendees) in their attached conference center. It was overall excellent experience. Although the lobby is not impressive, the hotel really grew on me over my stay - the staff were lovely, there is a good gym, nice backyard and very good restaurant. The staff taking care of the rooms were lovely and attentive, and the rooms were clean. The WiFi was not great, but I do not beleive there is fast consistent internet anywhere in Blantyre. I would definitely stay there again.
