Positive: Lovely hotel in Kasane, very friendly staff, great food. Perfect for visiting Victoria Falls from Kasane and Chobe park. Well maintained property. Staff helped us last minute with organizing game drive into the park, thank you so much!

Positive: We spent a night in Maun as we travelled with young kids to Namibia. The place was perfect for our children with its big garden and pool. The chalets are very spacious ,clean and comfortable and the big screen TV was a huge surprise! The staff was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed their joyful singing !

Positive: The Staff!! What a lovely welcome! Each and every member went out of their way to make our stay great. Nothing was too much for them. They arranged within minutes a Chobe river cruise , a boat which can accommodate roughly 16 people. What an absolute highlight. The food was delicious, although it was not a buffet. They are renovating the property. When it is complete, it would be superb 👌
Negative: Maybe the renovations may disturb guests. However, we were out all day and renovations promptly stopped at 17.00. I will definitely stay there again!

Positive: A very cozy lodge, an ideal base for trips to Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls. All trips can be arranged through the lodge; excellent service! Furthermore, the staff was very hospitable and helpful. Definitely recommended!

Positive: Lovely staff good facilities. We had a two bedroom 'apartment' with a good sized lounge, one ensuite and one 'shared' bathroom. This was clearly either new or being renovated. Everything seemed to operate on what I call 'Africa time' which is great and chilled out. Staff were very friendly and on hand to help with whatever was needed.
Negative: Our 'apartment' had a room for a kitchen that contained a fridge but nothing else - on querying this we were told they do not offer self catering - seemed odd therefore to have a kitchenless kitchen.... You need a car or your own transport here - its a way out of Kasane but really convenient for the border crossing with Zimbabwe Meals are quite expensive - they are lovely - buffet style and it was great to have Botswana'n food on offer but compared to the prices of places in Kasane the buffets were expensive and, no other option in the close vicinity.

Positive: This property was under renovation when we stayed, but it was lovely none-the-less, and quiet. I loved having a separate living space and bedroom so my 6 yo son could have his own space, if he wanted it. We enjoyed one of two pools on the property and had no trouble with booking transfers and excursions once we got there. Boa went out of her way to get a coloring book and crayons for my son, which he thoroughly enjoyed!
Negative: There tended to be miscommunications over food orders and the food was just so-so. I think this was most likely due to the renovations though, since the part that was getting renovated was the reception area and kitchen. I also had an issue with wifi, but they promptly responded with a new router for the room.

Positive: Everything was excellent. The Hotel is owned and managed by women and there is a policy to recruit female staff from amongst victims of domestic violence and other disadvantage. The owner is an impressive woman with exciting plans for expanding the hotel over the next few months.
Negative: There was some confusion about whether the cost of the airport shuttle bus was included in the price, as Booking.com had said it was. In fact it was not. This confusion also applied the last time I stayed at Sunbirds, so I had made a specific enquiry with Booking.com about this - it seems that Booknig.com got it wrong.
