Positive: The beach is so pretty, the staff is really kind and helpfull. The food is amazing. The dorms are comfortable. Brung musquito repellent and wear some good shoes for the path down. Would highly recommend. The dogs and cats are so nice as well. There is books you can read and games you can play.
Negative: I was there in low season, so there werenโ€™t a lot of other travellers (especially few solo travelers). Also because of low season some of the other restaurants were closed, so I only ate at Sunboo (which was amazing). I saw some other accomodations clean the beaches a little more regularly than Sunboo, so the beach was sometimes a bit filthy.
Summary: Go to this amazing beach!

Positive: Amazing location and facilities. Building made of bamboos are so interesting and match with the beach. During my stay I could fee the nature and hear the sounds of waves, animals, insects, rains. They are what I have expected. Foods and drinks are nice and reasonable. I have relaxed so much.
Negative: I do not have any complains. On the other hand, I have some advice for visitors in order to stay more confortable. 1. Internet As here is island, sometime you may not have internet connection. It is better for you to prepare for it. 2. Ear Plugs In the room, you can here the sounds of nature. On the other hand, the sounds may be big for you to sleep well. So that, let you bring ear plugs and you will enjoy the stay.
Summary: I have enjoyed the stay so much and want to come back in dry season.

Itโ€™s such a beautiful place and the food is honestly incredible, we did not have a single mediocre meal and we spent 7 days there. A very beautiful little piece of wonderfulness, made even more perfect by the lovely staff and cats and dogs

Positive: First, to reach this amazing part of the island, our piece of advice is to travel as light as you can. The jungle trail leading you there is as amazing as it is demanding in the last bit, which is totally immersed in nature and quite steep. Once you reach the end, you will find pure paradise and the best hosts you can hope for. Paulo and Cori welcomed us with a passion fruit lemonade as a reward and from there on everything has been just wonderful. You'll live directly in nature, surrounded by the jungle and admiring the sea - amazing even when wavy and rainy. The food is so so tasty! Thanks for Paulo and Cori for being always so attentive and for the fun time spent together, we'll never forget it and.. we will be back! :)

Positive: Wonderful stay at Sunboo, we were sad to leave! The bungalows are really comfortable and I loved the toiletries provided. Bar and restaurant area is lovely and also a great place to meet other guests. Particularly loved 'film night'! The food is the best on the island and everything we had was delicious. You also have other restaurants along the beach that do great food too, loved the paella at Kamaku. Paolo and Cori (sorry if the spelling is wrong!) are the best hosts making you feel welcome as soon as you arrive and explaining the community ethos of sunset beach. We truly hope to be able to stay there again one day.
