Welcome to Sungate, a small 125 unit, friendly, gated community with lush landscaping year around. We rent January - December by the month or at least 3 weeks. Many of the owners in the complex are Snowbirds from around the US and Canada, so happy hour around the pool in the Winter is a fabulous gathering place to meet and greet regular owners and guest that you will see year after year. The complex is very central to all the amenities Phoenix has to offer. If sports is your thing then you might want to attend any of the Pro Sports such as NFL, NHL, NBA Major League Baseball or Phoenix Open Golf and turf Paradise Horse Track just a mile up the street. All these events can be had within a 20-30 minute drive. Sky Harbor International Airport is a quick 20 minute drive as is Scottsdale. The Comerica Theatre and all the down town restaurants and events are just 20 minutes away. You can also catch the light-rail just south of the complex and leave the driving to the City of Phoenix Light Rail Transportation System. That begins just 2 miles south and save the driving to them. It takes you all the way to Mesa if you choose, or just go downtown to a play, go to the various theatres at the Herberger, Comerica Theatre and the Phoenix Symphony. Have dinner all within walking distance in the down-town/up-town sector. There are also events at Talking Stick Venue which is the Basketball Stadium for the Phoenix Suns. There is so much to do in this downtown area as well as the whole state, 3 lakes within 1 hour or less away, Cave Creek and Carefree for a day-trip to shop and eat and great restaurants, Tempe Town Lake where the Arizona State University Sun Devils are located; these are just a few places you might want to venture to sight see and have an easy day-trip.
The clubhouse has both Pool Tables and a Gym newly remodeled. Seasonal Horse Racing, 1 mile away. Cave Creek Golf Course is just 1/4 mile away and there are also 260 additional golf courses in all of Maricopa County. Pool is heated year around with the Hot Tub. Cool decking is all brand new this year as well for the poolside gatherers and swimmers.
This updated perfect upper unit is over 900 square feet with 2 balconies to enjoy the Sun or Shade as it is an end unit and very quiet and private. The main deck has a great view of the pool while being far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the whole complex. The master bedroom (14 x 11) has a California King Bed and its' own adjoining full bathroom along with a walk-in closet. The second bedroom (10 x 11) is equipped with a queen bed and wall closet. The main bathroom is a full bathroom with sink, 4 foot shower and toilet. The galley kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The vaulted ceilings show the unit to be much larger and spacious. The living room has Natuzzi fine leather couch and love seat with an 60 inch Smart TV along with Cox Internet and Cable. The glass dining room seating is equipped for 4-6. There is also a covered numbered parking stall close to the unit.

Summary: I enjoyed my stay at this condo. It was clean and quiet. Neighbors were friendly and welcoming in this condo complex. Bed was comfortable and all the amenities I needed were right there at my finger tips. Certainly a place I would come back and stay here again for sure.

Summary: Older condo complex in a very convenient location. Very well equipped unit and responsive owner. Pool and hot tub in complex not working and some issues with TV but otherwise the perfect spot for our (couple and adult daughter) 10 day stay.

Summary: We stayed here for 13 nights during a move from So Cal and waiting for apt lease to start so still working and commuting daily. Janelle was very helpful, the place was very clean. It's European style for quick meals, kitchen is stocked (a little small) very nice, homey/comfort decor. We had a lot of our own stuff with us because of our 'moving to Phoenix' circumstance. We bbq'd hamburgers, steaks (love the electric grill) and a few meals on the stove. Master room bed was super comfy!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay overall. The condo was clean and well stocked. The property manager Janelle made sure of that as well as taking the time to show us around the property she was amazing ! Any property owner would be blessed to have her ! We were disappointed that the pool was not heated and to cold to use the 1st couple of weeks. Some of the furniture at the pool needs replaced as it is ripped and not usable. The condo had couple things that needed tended to. The laundry is also not in the condo they have a laundry facility on site which worked out ok, however the machines need maintenance most all the dryers had black sticky spots in the drum which makes you leary that it wont get on your clothes. Otherwise we did enjoy our stay.

Summary: When we needed a property close to the last minute, Janelle came through for us in a huge way. Cannot imagine a more ideal property manager anywhere - everything you could think of was supplied from oodles of toilet paper, paper towels, liquid soap bottles in the bathrooms and kitchen, dish and laundry detergent and even a paid up debit card for the washer and dryer in an adjacent building. There was even plenty of coffee and tea available in the cozy cabinets and all the pots and pans anyone would need. Even though it was totally unnecessary, Janelle made time to come around the second day to answer any questions and show me everything on the property. She likewise promptly returned when there was an issue with the internet and TV although it was an issue with the cable provider. The leather couch and loveseat in the living room were the most comfortable we've ever sat on. I would love them for our own home! Ideally, it would be perfect if an end table and table lamp were added in between the couches for additional lighting and spot to place a glass, mug or electronics. Loved that the property was an end unit and had two balconies!
