The Sunny Bungalow 1 Bedroom is located at mile 17.5 of the Placencia Peninsula in the Community of Surfside. A bright, modern and clean home awaits you! Enjoy stunning sunrises from the beach, swimming in the pool or ocean, kayaking in the ocean or simply relaxing under the palms.
The ground floor Bungalow comes fully equipped with all modern amenities, including a full refrigerator with ice and water, a gas oven and stovetop, and a microwave. All essential small appliances, dishes and accessories are included and the kitchen is very spacious for preparing your favorite meals. You have your own private entrance to this unit as well.
Grocery stores are located a short distance away by car or golf cart. The bungalow has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, as well as a twin day bed in the living room. It is perfect for couples, or couples with a child. There is a covered porch for simply enjoying the peaceful beach breeze and ocean waves. The pool is located in a perfect balance of sun and shade with places to lounge deck side, or there is a large bench in the pool for relaxing. Please make use of the kayak we have as well, although note it must be locked up at night, any loss will be billed back to the guest.
The bedroom offers a ceiling fan and large wardrobes. The main area kitchen/living also offers a ceiling fan and air conditioning which easily spreads to the bedroom. All linens and beach towels are included as well as starter toiletries.
The Bungalow is located 10 minutes north of Placencia Village via car (about 15-20 min via golf cart) and 10 minutes south of the popular Maya Beach area via car (about 15 min via golf cart). Both the village and Maya Beach are home to many restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee shops and other activities. The bungalow is a quarter mile south of Sirenian Bay Resort, where you can easily pop over for dinner, drinks, gelato, mini golf, pickle ball, tennis, a gym or daily golf cart rental.
Other things to note
Placencia is located a 2.5-3.5 hour drive from The International Airport, depending on which route you take. You can rent a car, use a shuttle or take a short 30 min flight directly into the Placencia Airstrip. We are happy to help you arrange your transfer, just inquire at booking. We can also help with booking a golf cart or weekly bike rentals.

Summary: Great stay, beautiful location right on the beach. The pool was perfect for our little one - just the right size. The apartment was well-appointed and comfortable. The location provides easy access to a number of areas, groceries, restaurants, beaches, etc. We would stay again!

Summary: We had the Best time at Sunny Bungalows. The place is well kept, the pool is refreshing, and the view from the porch while drinking my coffee every morning is priceless. We will definitely be staying here on our Next Belize Vacation.

Summary: We really enjoyed our time in Belize! The bungalow's location was great for us as we wanted to avoid the busyness of Placencia and be more centrally located between Placencia and Maya Beach. Sirenian Bay Resort was within walking distance. They have a great little restaurant called Inkys. We also took advantage of the spa at Naia Resort just up the road - they also have a great restaurant (especially for breakfast). It's about a 10-minute golf cart ride in the other direction to Placencia. The Bungalow was small and cute... perfect for a couple. The pool was a great feature, and we used it often. Communication with the property management company was great. The list of resources for rentals, tours, etc. that they provided was also a huge help. Enjoy your stay!

Summary: We had a great stay at the Sunny Bungalow! The pool and beach are lovely. The unit was clean and well appointed for a comfortable visit. The property is well maintained and the location is central to the peninsula. Close to Placencia without being in the thick of things. We found it to be quiet and relaxing. Access to a washer/dryer was a bonus. We felt very safe and secure staying here. The contact person was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend staying here.

Summary: Our stay at The Sunny Bungalow was the perfect Spring Break getaway for our family of 3! The property was exactly as advertised and well kept/maintained. We stayed in the downstairs unit and it was clean, comfortable and offered plenty of amenities to feel at home. We spent lots of time in the pool and deck relaxing. The gated entrance offered an extra sense of security and peace of mind. We would definitely stay again.
