Summary: My husband and I stayed at sunrise bungalow while in the NY/CT area visiting friends and family. The home was immaculate, welcoming and well appointed. Its vibe is where a little euro modern ~ meets the mountains! Morning coffee on the screened in porch, watching the birds at the bird feeder with the lake and mountains in the distance is a great way to begin the day! James responded to all our questions about the homes use, check in and check out policies, so we didn’t have to wonder about anything pertaining to the home. Although we did not have the opportunity to use the kayaks or row boat on Candlewood lake, what a lovely offer to guests! Additionally, the owner offers Charging stations for your electronics, several streaming apps and of course WiFi. I highly recommend staying at sunrise bungalow, kudos to you James, you have a lovely home! Thanks for allowing Gene and me to visit. Mary

Summary: Me and my family felt instantly comfortable at the place, it was clean and organized when we arrived. The neighbors were really nice and the location was great, close to a lake and nature in general. It was very calm and peaceful and we'd love to return someday!

Summary: The Sunrise Bungalow was a very peaceful get away. The sun comes up on the back deck and the bedroom has an open air deck to take it all in. There is also a covered deck to sit quietly and enjoy the birds with the boats in the distance. You are a short ride to Candlewood Park with boating and hiking.

Summary: There is so much about this house that we loved. The clean and uncluttered style, the beds and comforters, the well-equipped kitchen, the screened-in patio and the beautiful view including Candlewood Lake, the serving window that allowed for an open-air cooking experience. It was very clean and more. And James was very accommodating and a great communicator. I’d highly recommend this place.

Summary: My husband and I booked the Sunrise bungalow while our kids were in sleepaway camp nearby. They were with us for the first and last night and the rest of the time it was just us. It was such a perfect getaway for us to unwind and relax. We had amazing weather and were able to take advantage of the generous screened in porch and the indoor outdoor feeling created by the "windoor" over the counter in the kitchen. Even rainy days were a treat. We loved watching the birds at the birdfeeder and waking up to the sunrise over the lake. (If you're sensitive to light and not an early riser, pack an eyemask). We cooked a few meals in the lovely kitchen and had everything we needed. It really felt like an upscale treehouse - all the comforts of home while feeling very connected to nature. I would absolutely stay here again.

Summary: Staying at the Sunrise Bungalow is truly a magical experience. We recently stayed in the bungalow for an extended stay, and we loved every moment there. The bungalow is well equipped, and we enjoyed using the full kitchen. We found that everything we used to prepare dinner was in great shape, clean, and accessible. The dishwasher (along with the other appliances) were in great shape and worked perfectly. We also appreciated that the host had many spices and essentials (cooking oil, aluminum foil , etc) that we needed. The full size fridge was also great. The screened in deck is perfect for dinner and lounging, and we loved that the deck felt private. When I look back on this trip, I’ll remember the peaceful mornings drinking coffee out there, enjoying the natural beauty and animals. The views of the lake are incredible! The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms had plenty of closet and dresser space. The bathroom appears brand new and was honestly one of the best I’ve seen at a rental. The toilet was modern, vanity had tons of storage space, and the shower was awesome. The shower has multiple shower heads, great water pressure, and the hot water heater was reliable, even on nights where everyone in the family showered back to back. The internet was nice and reliable as well. We also had solid cell reception. The hosts are very kind, attentive, and welcoming! We felt very much at home here. Overall, we had an amazing experience and highly recommend!
