Charming ocean front cottage with wrap-around deck. Wake-up to sunrise and coffee on the deck while the seals, ducks, eagles and cormorants enjoy the morning calm. Read a book on the deck while the lobstermen pull their traps, the fishermen catch the striped bass and the sailors glide past. Bring your fishing pole!
Stay local and visit gift shops, restaurants, the Giant Steps, hiking areas and sandy Cedar Beach. Rent a kayak and explore the Merriconeag Sound, take a sailing excursion. After dinner, walk 1 minute up the road to watch the sunset on the other side of the island.

Summary: We could not have enjoyed our time at Sunrise Cottage any more than we did. The views are breathtaking and crashing of the waves on to the rocks is the best therapy in the world. On a clear the day the sunrise view is unmatched and on a clear night the stars put on a show. Even in the rain or the fog you feel relaxed. In the morning the lobster trappers come by and check their traps and later that day you might be able to eat one on the island. The cottage is well equipped with all we needed and the coffee maker and the Keurig were much appreciated. The cottage was clean and with perfect accommodations. The hosts went above and beyond when we had issues with a tire on our rental car. Would we come again, oh yes.
