Positive: The apartment was clean and contained most the amenities that you would expect. The location of the apartment was not what I expected (it was different from the apartment that was booked), but the Chlodwigplatz area is very nice.
Negative: A few things interrupted our stay. Upon arrival, it took a while to check in (as I did not provide my email address to the host - my fault), however when I called the customer service line provided by the host, no one picked up the phone even though I was calling during the allocated open times. When the host finally responded to my email, it took over an hour to organise and complete the check in process. It was not smooth. I booked an apartment near Neumarkt/Heumarkt - the apartment given was not near this location at all! The apartment that was provided was at Chlodwigplatz. This was not represented of the booking at all A small thing, fresh bedding was provided wrapped up in a plastic packet. It wasn't put on the bed. I did not expect to have to put the bedding on to the blanket and pillows myself.
Summary: Misleading/Incorrect location. Slow/Poor check in process. Nice apartment. Great surrounding area.

Positive: Overall a good place to stay for a few day in the city, great location 10min walk to the Dom. plenty of shops and restaurants around. Plenty of options for safe and paid parking around the location. We would stay again, if we come back to Cologne.
Negative: No Aircon, so rather hot during the summer, meaning we slept with windows open, but that caused some trouble with mosquitoes, but nothing that could not be dealt with.

Negative: Feedback for the owner who definitely doesn’t like constructive criticism and has an answer for everything . We definitely did not appreciate the fact that we had to make our own bed. After a day of travelling and getting back late, we then had to put the duvet covers on and the pillow cases and there was NO bottom sheet for the bed. I should NOT have to do this ! Terrible pillows by the way and hard bed. On booking.Com the address is 60 and it is actually 68. This caused some confusion trying to find the place as there is NO signage. For some reason I had a lot of trouble doing the online check in on my phone which is the latest iPhone. It wouldn’t work on my partners phone either so we were stuck outside for nearly an hour with the owner saying we couldn’t get the code until online check in was done . We eventually borrowed someone’s phone and that worked and we eventually got in very with little help from the owner . The restaurant tips barcode in the front of the booklet in the room is deactivated so we couldn’t use it. We have travelled extensively throughout Europe for the past 4 months and have never had to make our own bed and have never had issues with online check in. We left the unit clean and took our rubbish out as requested.

Positive: The Deluxe apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, near the tram/bus station.
Negative: There were two key issues that unfortunately impacted my overall satisfaction. First, the location of the apartment was significantly different from the one displayed at the time of booking. ( in the booking page it’s mentioned Glockengasse 68 and the Deluxe Apartment is at Bonner Straße 8. Information not displayed in any information before booking. I received the new address via email in the day of my departure 5 minutes before check-in) This discrepancy created confusion and inconvenience upon arrival, especially since the original location was one of the main reasons I chose this property. Second, the apartment description mentioned three beds (specifically, two double beds and one single bed). However, upon check-in, the apartment only had one double bed and one single bed. This mismatch in the advertised sleeping arrangements was disappointing and did not meet the expectations set by the listing.

Positive: Before booking this apartment I was looking at other people's reviews and because of some negative comments I didn't want to book. Then I relied on my instinct and I did very well. I can tell you that this location for me was perfect in every way. Extremely clean, equipped with everything you need, owners attentive to all the details. I will definitely come back. And for those of you who write banalities in reviews, live your life, stop being so frustrated, because the bed is small or the pillow is not comfortable, or that you had to put the sheets on yourself, or one thing or another. You want to stay in an apartment with many people but also cheaply. Life is beautiful, stop being so sad.
